“Good for Cricket”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2012

Just watched the first day of the first test there (AUS v SA). The food and drink are expensive, but we go out for lunch at one of the nearby eateries. A lot of houses two or three streets away from the Gabba hire out their backyards as carpartks for about $10.

“Great Cricket Ground”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

Have watched the Poms getting thrashed by Australia in a one day and watched the first day of the Sri Lankan Test. A great atmosphere for a one dayer. For test cricket suggest buying a seat under the cover on the second tier

“A great venue for watching sports”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

Cricket purists might find the Gabba a little soulless compared to other famed grounds, but it still is a great venue for watching sports. The arena is easily accessible from central Brisbane via public transports, and travel is free on match days upon showing the ticket for the event. Parking space is very limited, this is perhaps a good thing, so Brisbanites can get used to leaving the car at home. The area around the ground is efficiently and discreetly policed by QLD police and security staff, the atmosphere is jovial, safe, and relaxed. As an Italian used to my nation's soccer stadia, my first thought on my first visit at the Gabba was that this is a place where you can take your kids without any problem. As many have noticed, the stadium is rather clean and well looked after. Food is a bit pricey and not particularly exciting, but Woollongabba is an up-and-coming suburb, with plenty of funky places to have a good meal before or after the event. If you are going to a cricket game, sectors 67-72 from gate 2 offer the best view.

“Busy little stadium”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

The Gabba was great in the "old days" when families would have a picnic on the dog track whilst the first cricket test was underway. Still not too bad and great facilities for the crowdds.
