“Fantastic Suites”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2009

We had our work christmas party in Brisbane & organised 3 suites. The 3 bedroom was amazing with amazing views. Good location to get to anywhere you need. The staff were very helpfull in arranging the rooms and the 16 people attending. Beware though, if you need to do some serious shopping for supplies, catch a taxi back as a long was to cart your shopping

This was the third time we have booked a two bedroom apartment via wotif.com at the Quest River Park Central. Such a great apartment and location. Easy carparking.
Nice outdoor pool and gym.
We have hired bikes at the nearby Botanic Gardens each time we have stayed and rode to Southbank.
Also walked to Southbank to visit the Museum, Library exhibition and new Museum of Modern Art. A great family day out.
Lots of family friendly shopping and eating places nearby.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in a lovely 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment on a high floor with a wonderful balcony. We loved this place. It has everything you would want. The apartments are very modern and well-kept, clean and are fully self-contained with everything you would need. They are also daily serviced which was a dream as it meant that every day you got the 5 star treatment of having your apartment made up and cleaned. The pool and gym were great and there is also a sauna which we did not use. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly and even the cleaners were really nice to us. The hotel is also in a good part of town, away from the noise and bustle but still close to everything like shops, restaurants, casino, supermarkets, the botanical gardens and Southbank. It is a 5 minute walk to the main centre of the CBD, so is perfect. We read reviews that there was construction noise accross the road but we didn't experience this at all. We asked the staff about this and they said that the large construction site accross the road had ceased being built. We thought the hotel was very good value and would stay again any time. Highly recommended for couples, business people, families or just get-togethers.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2008

We stayed in a 2 BR unit in this apartment for 2 nights. We found the unit to be very modern and clean. Both rooms had a walk-in closet. The ensuite bathroom in the masters bedroom was a bit small. Both bathrooms only had a shower. I didn't like quite well that the water in the shower area did not drain efficiently. It seems like the drain was a bit higher than the rest of the shower area so, there was water left on the floor. The kitchen is well equipped complete with all dining and cooking utensils up to peeler and food grater. The unit came with a TV, DVD player, internet access, washer and dryer, iron/ironing board, hair dryer. The balcony was the biggest I've seen so far in the apartments we've stayed in. It stretched from the dining area to the masters bedroom. We had the view of the Brisbane river from our unit. There's a building construction going on in front and beside the apartment, so it's a bit noisy during the day. The construction starts early at 7AM but when you close the balcony door, the noise gets muffled, so its not really so bothersome unless you're very sensitive.

The hotel is near the Queen St Mall which has a lot of dining, shopping options. There is Woolsworth and Big W about 2 blocks away. There is a free city sights bus stop a block away.

The staff was efficient and helpful. We came in at around 11AM but the room was not ready yet. But it was by 2PM when we came back

I will still consider staying in this apartment next time.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. It's very modern, well-equipped and there's even a dvd player which allowed my toddler to enjoy her favourite Hi-5 and Barney show. Both bedrooms come with walk-in wardrobe. We asked for an apartment on a high floor and we had a great view of the city and a little of Brisbane River. We also booked in advance for a sofa bed and we were pleasantly surprised that the sofa bed is a queen size. As we checked in at night, we didn't notice there's a huge construction site across the road. So we were awaken by the noise of heavy vehicles the next morning as early as 6am. Thankfully no work on Sunday. Requested for a change in room, but was told by the reception that the noise travels to all other units too. It can be quite dusty so we didn't open the balcony doors that were facing the construction site. Nevertheless, it's a wonderful stay as it's close to cafes, shops, supermarkets and a post office just across the road.

  • Liked — Convenience, well-equipped kitchen, modern
  • Disliked — Lots of noise from the massive construction going on nearby

We stayed here for three nights in a one bed room apartment on the third floor. The first few floors are basically car park with only a few apartments that face the street. The advantage of this was being able to park right outside our door. However we did not get a view other than of the interesting street scene from our reasonably sized balcony. The pool was closed for the first day of our stay for flooring renovations and unfortunately this continued to be extended by the management and we did not get to use during our four day stay. However we did sneak a look and it looked very nice.

Our apartment was well appointed with a good kitchen, dining/lounge with study corner. The bathroom was a good size with a laundry tucked away at the end. The bedroom through sliding doors with direct access to the balcony had a mirrored door wardrobe that was actually a large, walk-in storage room.

The apartments are conveniently located to Brisbane CBD shops, the river CAT (public transport at very cheap $), riverside walks, Southbank and the gardens. We used Brisbane as a base to take day trips to the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and hinterland as well as sight seeing in Brisbane. This plan with our hire car worked out well.

These are brilliant apartments. They are huge two bedroomed, finished to a very high standard with a large balcony. The complex has a heated swimming pool, gym and sauna and this added to the feeling of luxury. Very highly recommended and very good value at AUD$250 per night.
