Interesting exhibits of Australian and international art, spanning historical through to Modern and Contemporary Art. Well organised and in fairly interesting buildings and in proximity to several other museums and the Southbank complex. As such, a lot to see and a very good way to spend the day (or days). As to content, generally engaging and well curated, but kind of wished for something a bit more challenging at times.
A good mix and a very interesting way to spend a day.
Cafes not bad (the best seems to open on to the sculpture terrace).
Tip: if driving, use the car-parks near the Southbank shops as they seem a lot cheaper than parking under places like the convention centre.
