“Needs to remember a restaurant without customers is a shed!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013 via mobile

Visited for Sunday lunch and on arrival was told the usual menu was not available and it was to be restricted to a choice of three for main and two for desert and a fixed share platter for starters. Having visited once before I found the service was average and couldn't help but feeling the staff thought they were a step above the patrons. The food was good but with plenty of other choice in Brisbane, unlikely to try for a third time.

“Nice but very busy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

Great location and aspect but very busy when we were there (well it was Lions game that day). Had the the combo of raw fish and some oysters for starter (both were superb) followed by the steak (pretty good) and the fish and chips (a little disappointing and could't live yo the expectations set by its raw friends). Service was a little slow due to the weight of numbers, but overall it was a good meal. COst AU$205 for 2 including a half bottle of some amazing Chardonnay from Victoria.

“Very pleasant evening”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013 via mobile

I called ahead to let them know it was my partners birthday and our anniversary. When we arrived they sat us at the best table that had an amazing view and offered us a glass of champagne to celebrate. Orders were taken and meals were delivered in a timely manner. All of our courses were tasty and presented nicely. Meal sizes were fine. A great evening. Couldn't fault.

“Tough chewy sirloin”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013 via mobile

I am disappointed when the "special" steak takes a big effort to cut with the non steak knive as it is too tough
I hate chewy sinewy steak
For 40 dollars and it being the chalkboard special I would expect a decent steak
What I received was awful, large pieces of tough gristle
Service slow
Disappointing and this place can do better

“Sensational views from all seats, great food, price tag to match”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

We had a lovely Sunday lunch here with friends and would go there again - but wouldn't have more than 1 glass of wine because the drinks component of their menu is very expensive! One Spanish beer cost AU$15, which we coincidentally had in Spain a few weeks later for about AU$1. The food was OK but I was disappointed that the website's "current" menu wasn't current at all, so the thing we went there for wasn't available. I nearly broke a tooth on the hard, caramelised (raw?) barley sprinkled on my entree and only found the main "okay". Overall too expensive but maybe I picked the wrong things on the menu?
