“Great location, spacious apartment - loved the Royal Albert!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2008

We booked this hotel direct as wanted to be in the CBD close to everything. As we were a family of 3 we had to book a 2 brm apt, as most 1 brm apts only accommodated 2 people. The Royal Albert Hotel suited us for location and price and we weren't disappointed! The 2 brm apt we booked was spacious, surprisingly quiet due to double glazing and on the doorstep of great restaurants/bars and opposite the Meyer Centre - what more could you want? The service from staff was friendly and helpful - we will stay here again next time we are in Brisbane!

My husband and I stayed for one night in a deluxe hotel room at the end of our holiday. What a great location in the centre of the city, and the room was large and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Excellent room, location and ambience.

We are a family of 5 and wanted accomododation in the heart of Brisbane city for 5 nights in the school holidays.
I chose the Royal Albert Hotel for it's location more than anything and I had read on other reviews that the apartments were large and very central.
We had the 2 bedroom sub-penthouse at $300 per night.
It was a lot more than I wanted to pay, but if you want size and location it is a winner. It is very hard to find accomodation for 5 people together at a reasonable price.
The lounge/dining/kitchen was huge, clean and very nicely furnished with windows over looking the mall. The main bedroom was also large with a beautifull large ensuite with bath. The main bathroom was also large and very nice. The second bedroom had twin beds and a foldaway.
The apartment had a washing machine/dryer which was very convenient with a family.
This hotel is so close to the Mall and over the road from the Myer centre. It is easy walking distance to the movies, river, southbank, shops, casino, restaurants and the sunday riverside markets.
I would say the only problem I had with the hotel was in the kitchen. It was very nice but could have had some more bowls, trays, containers etc to put food in. Lots of cupboards but hardly anything in them. Makes it a bit hard to cater for a family.
There was a Cafe at the Hotel entrance and many coffee shops, eateries nearby.
I would reccomend this Hotel to people looking for space and convenience and would stay there again with my family.

We phoned directly and were told they had no vacancies so went on line for a cheap deal and found two rooms for the period we wanted. Obviously some one did not want to take the booking.

The staff were pleasent on arrival and helped if asked a question. Great location in the centre of Brisbane with parking costing $12 per night.

Our rooms were clean ,but one was in a little need of TLC. The other was fine.

Great for the night life and to get around. Would consider staying there again but would request the rooms by their number ,as we didn't have the best of the two rooms we booked.

I stayed at the Royal Albert with 15 friends for two nights during the Ashes cricket in November. The rooms were huge, although the furniture was a little dated. We had two sub penthouse apartments and two two bedroom suites. The staff at the front desk were helpful, especially the young girl on the nightshift who advised us on local nightlife. The taxi rank out the front is very convenient for getting around and there are a lot of restaurants around. I'd reccomend staying here for it's central location and friendly service.

I found our 1 bedroom apartment quite comfortable. The hotel is in a great location. My complaint: the sofa bed was broken and we were not advised on booking into the the hotel. It was 1 o'clock in the morning and asking the reception for a replacement at that time of the morning would be out of the question. When we advised reception there was no explanation or apologies for the inconvenience. (and the broken sofa bed is still in the room) Also, our room did not have a roll of toilet paper and the receptionist asked us to collect it from reception on our return to our room later in the day!!
