“Helpful staff fantastic views of Brisbane”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013 via mobile

At probably the best location to view Brisbane City and its famous Story Bridge and River the Adina is all and more.
Friendly staff good value and a great little restaurant added to a great stay in the "River City". Amber and John were particularly knowledgable of local attractions and went out of their way to assist in an extremely smooth and pleasant stay.
Nice airy rooms, and a balcony view to die for. Easy car parking albeit a very busy location. The sign on the roof says "Medina" but the new name change makes it "not so funky old" now! ( to pun the song!)

Don't know about this place as I didn't sleep at all due to a party going on in the next room. Rang the reception and they did go up and spoke to the people. The noise slowed down but didn't stop.
However the guy that check us in the night was very nice plus he gave us a good deal as we could only get 2 single beds & not a queen size one as it was the last room the had.
The view over the Storey Bridge was also very good plus it was close to Fortitude valley & restaurants.
Will I stay here again - don't know.

I stayed at this hotel for the night before my wedding with my mother and bridesmaids. I was blown away at the flexibility of the hotel staff to accomodate all of the extras I needed on the day that really was not up to them to help with. They arranged flowers up to my room, let us have use of the driveways for our wedding cars, we were offered a slightly later stay than the usual check out time which really did take off alot of pressure. The porter was so helpful with taking all of our luggage to our cars so the girls did not get sweaty in their dresses.

As for the views, wow what more can I say- My wedding photos turned out amazing. I recommend the river view rooms but there is alot of common areas we used as well to get a few nice snaps.

Thank you to the hotel manager and her staff for going above and beyond in their service. I will definately return.

Our stay was from the 8th-11th of March. We were upgraded upon arrival and thanks to Amber, we were pleasantly surprised to find bubbly and chocolates waiting in our room - this made such a great start to our trip. The staff were polite, welcoming and very helpful during the course of our stay and I was greeted with stunning views upon waking every morning. The hotel's location is great for walking into the City and Chinatown - but there is nothing like walking down the pier during a beautiful night (we really enjoyed our meal at the Bavarian Bier Cafe which is walking distance from the Adina). I would definitely recommend this hotel in future and look forward to visiting Brisbane again : )

This is just what was expected, nothing more, nothing less. It's ideal as a base if you need to be in Brisbane for a few days and right next to the river and easy shout of the CBD, Southbank etc. I wouldn't holiday here but would recomend for a short stay as long as your not too fussy about things being basic and functional. Staff, contrary to some of the reviews were very pleasant and helpful. Car parking is ideal and cheap, and they let us keep the car in the car park the day we left for free.

One thing that does stand out with the staff though is their honesty. We'd left a key in the room and were promptly phoned that it had been found. It was then posted out to us within a few days free of charge..... Superb and thankyou...

Overall, tidy, clean and quiet..... what more do you need when you spend all your time out of the hotel anyway... Would use again.

Stay away!!
There are plenty of apartments in Brisbane for the same price as this one and why pay money for the staff to be rude and unhelpful towards you?
I really dont know how they get away with it, the manage must hide in the back room.

There is nothing wrong with the actual apartments just the staff and great staff can make a holiday so much better.

I wished i had read tripadvisor before i paid for this holiday.
Please manager sort your rude staff out and you will make so much more money!!!

It's always nice to stay in an apartment rather than a normal hotel room and the Adina in Brisbane is exactly that. The apartments are a good size, the rooms are comfortable and the staff are friendly and acommodating.

The location of the hotel is pretty good... It is an easy walk into town although you wouldn't really want to walk back as it involves a hill to climb to get to the entrance. The only real negative of the location is that there are no real amenities close by where you don't have to climb back up the hill. As an apartment hotel, it means that if you decide to buy some groceries you are best to catch a taxi back!
