“CARPARKING!!!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

If you do not have a car this is the hotel for you, it is comfortable and quite good value for money. Unfortunately when I read about the parking it did not occur to me that we would be required to pay an extra $27-00 per 24 hrs. It also was not explained when we checked in, but I overhead someone else being told, by which time it was too late, our car was already in the carpark. We then left at 5.00 pm and returned at 10.30pm the find that not only was there no room left in the car park, but we had to reverse out - not good enough. Our car was then left on the Mercure Hotels forecourt for the night and we refused to pay for the carparking. Pity it was the only down point of our weekend.

Nothing flash as I think they cater more towards business and seminars, they dont have room service (food etc) but still have a bar and restaurant down stairs, personally I would rather walk 20m and eat and drink elsewhere as its half the price. Room was clean, neat and welcoming, front desk very professional and helpful, all in all enjoyed the stay in town.
There are definitely worst places.

Easy to get to by car (unlike a first visit to Novotel in Creek St). Efficient check-in. Room hada view of the river which was great, but the room itself was pretty basic. Still, it was quiet and reasonable value for money. Comfortable bed. Quick check-out at 4.30am.

Took a lot longer to get out of the parking garage at Mercure just around the corner.

Paid $27 to validate ticket at reception, but had hassles with the boom machine which claimed ticket was unpaid for. Walked back to hotel to explain problem but there was a new receptionist who couldn't locate previous payment, so had to repay in order to get to airport on time.

Service & accommodation very good. Like the location & have stayed here before. Would recommend itas close proximity to all entertainment & shopping. Staff very friendly & most helpful. Did not find any fault with this hotel

Great bed, great staff, great location. I was hesitant to stay in an Ibis as we usually stay at the Mecure, but what a surprise! The room was basic but comfortable, and the view over the river was lovely. Only bad thing was the parking. My husband has emphysema and having to walk 10 minutes to the car in the pouring rain was a negative. Oh well, that was the only bad thing so overall good.

Not much to say here. The hotel is excellent value for money, good location, polite and helpful staff. Off site parking option and fast WiFi connection. Rooms are large and the beds are comfortable. This is what all budget business hotels should be like. Well done Ibis Brisbane!

This is probably the most basic room I've stayed in for business travel, but it had what I needed. it was quite, dark and best of all - the best bed ever! I mentioned to this to the lady who checked me out and she said they were especially made for Ibis. I would not hesitate to go back, and based on the bed quality alone I would happily book Ibis again.

Room Tip: Stay there for the bed quality, not for a fancy room.
