“St John's Anglican Cathedral”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013

Truly spectacular and here in Brisbane. No need to travel to Europe. Limited off street parking. Located in quiet area of city, within walking distance of main Shopping area and also China Town.
Well worth a visit.

“A good example of Romanesque and Gothic cathedrals, artistically very charming.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013 via mobile

an amazing work of architecture, this beautiful church is located in a very quiet area of the city along Ann street just a few hundred metres from Chinatown.
From outside you can already pick up its structural elegance but is within its wideness that is an incredible sight for the eyes.
Entrance is free but the only thing that I failed to understand is that inside charity boxes are placed for bidding with a written notice saying that every visitor had to put $ 5 offer for the maintenance of the Church.
Well in my opinion it seemed like a tax and more an imposition rather than a normal offer request.

“Stunning”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

This cathedral is a truly spectacular building and is an oasis of calm within the busy CBD. There is a friendly guide there during non-service times to give you a visitor's guide and to answer any questions you have, but it is easy to get lost in admiring the beauty of this grand Brisbane landmark from the stained glass windows to the vaulted ceilings. Definitely take a look inside even though it is a bit far from the rest of the CBD tourist sights.

The building is so lovely and everyone is welcome to attend services any time or just go in for a wonder. There are generally always people there to tell you about it and everyone is so friendly. Definitely worth a look.

“Worth the visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013

Not to be outdone by the Catholics St John's is a well presented and maintained part of Brisbane's heritage and history and an idyllic place in which to reflect . I was delighted with its precinct for a wedding and it is easy accessible.
