“Brilliant location but nice places to eat a bit hard to find”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

The weather was good, the view of the massive public pool and Brisbane River were great... but finding a nice place to sit and spend an afternoon over a loooong lunch proved very difficult.

“Simply brilliant”

Southbank in Brisbane is simply brilliant. QPAC, Convention and exhibition centre with many cafes, bars and restaurants, fantastic settings and brilliant idea to put things together for the locals and visitors alike.

“A little bit of everything”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

Southbank Parklands has got to be one of the nicest things about Brisbane. The parklands are an oasis across the river from the Brisbane CBD. There is something for everyone here from barbeques & picnic tables to a genuine rainforest walk right on the banks of the river! Not only is there a rainforest, but a man made beach is just adjacent to it. Then there are the weekend markets & to top it all, live entertainment. If there is a downside it is parking, but at least it is free on the weekends if you are prepared to walk a little ways.
