“Great Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2014

I stayed here due to it's proximity to Roma Street station prior to catching the train out. Check in was good with the lobby area looking very well decorated and looking trendy. I asked for a view overlooking the station area and was given this on the top floor (17).
Walking into the room, I was amazed at just how large the room was for the price I paid in the heart of Brisbane. Great wrap around windows giving an amazing view of Brisbane. King size bed was very comfortable and had no issues sleeping. Lounge was very comfortable to sleep on which I found myself falling asleep on due to it's comfort. Bathroom was nicely set out and shower was really good. All in all, the room was very clean and I'd stay here again.
We ate at the hotel restaurant and bar and couldn't recommend it enough for the service, very attentive and friendly which isn't always a given these days in modern society.

A friend and I took advantage of a Wotif special offer and we ended up at Traders Brisbane overnight. Overall, we were very happy with the room. I wouldn't call it the height of luxury but it is well enough appointed. The beds are very comfortable and the room had a nice view at night, looking over towards South Brisbane. We were on the ninth floor and though I'd read reviews beforehand which said that railway noise from Roma Street station was an issue, we didn't hear anything from where we were. In fact, the room was very quiet.

I want to particularly commend the staff of the restaurant downstairs. My friend had a "two for one" voucher and, as we were both very tired and wanted to stay in and order room service, before we settled in for the night we asked at the restaurant if they would be prepared to honour this voucher and allow us to have the meal delivered as room service. The restaurant staff were only too happy to oblige and the meal was wonderful. We thought this was brilliant service!

The hotel is situated an easy walk from the centre of town and Queen Street Mall and is very conveniently located to transport if you need it, as well as Suncorp Stadium.

A couple of tiny little gripes about the room - one, the bath plug didn't fit properly and the water was constantly draining out. This would so easily be able to be fixed and some of us love our baths! Still on the subject of the bathroom, the shower head was a little unstable and came off at a bad time, spraying water around everywhere at one stage. Finally, the airconditioning was a bit inconsistent. One moment it seemed freezing cold and the next hot and stuffy. Other than that, all was fine.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to travellers looking for a convenient and comfortable place to stay.

Room Tip: If you were concerned about possible railway noise, ask for a room on the South Brisbane side and hi...

We couldn't of ask for better for our dollar. The breakfast of a morning in the restaurant was to die for, dinner at night was excellent value for money, the room and view was more than words can explain. All I know is, next time we are in Brisbane, we will be going back.

We arrived at he hotel several hours before check in but unsure of the time. I enquired at the desk and to our delight were checked in immediately to our room.
The Staff could not have been more helpful or professional.
The room was exceptionally clean, well stocked and everything was to our liking.
The Traders bed are just too comfortable and we found ourselves really comfortable and well looked after.
Breakfast at MJs was beautiful with every taste catered for including Yum Cha and honey staight from the beeswax.
Would we stay at the Trader's again...you bet.

Room Tip: Try to reserve a room facing Roma Strret rather than the railway station althought the rooms are ver...

I stayed at this hotel many times when it was a holiday in because of convenient location above Roma Station and excellent room quality and views. This was my first time as the Traders, and the quality was held up to its former standards very well. I will continue to regard this as preferred Brisbane Hotel.

Great staff and overall decent room with basic amenities. Neg - In house wifi was sub par and bath and shower area had mold and dirt around edges on arrival. Breakfast was very reasonable with lots of choices and the fresh honey was a nice touch.

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night as we were travelling the next morning by train from Roma Street station. It is very convenient for train travellers.
We enjoyed our stay - very good staff at reception.
The main negative is that it is a fair walk from the hotel to the city.
We enjoyed a dinner in the hotel restaurant - good value.
The rooms are very large and comfortable.
We enjoyed breakfast at a coffee shop on the ground floor of the station - this was very good price.
Recommended - but not if you want easy access to city.
