“Poor service and ordering system, but good coffee and cake!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2014

We went out for some cake and coffee, so we can enjoy the views, but instead just got annoyed again with their silly ordering practice. First you have to select your table, then wait in line to order and pay - but while you wait others can and will "steal" your table and if no one is sitting at your table, others will, then when it's your time to order, you will quickly have to rush and find another table if you can!
The cake and coffee were good, but we did not enjoy the ordering process.

“Don't Even Bother”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2014

I know it was busy, but put on more chefs. A VERY long wait for our lunch. The steak burger was OK BUT the wedges were COLD. I Personally think they were someones left overs. I think it was over priced for the level of service and quality of food.

“Very Disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014

My Husband and I popped up to Mt Cootha for brunch. I ordered the Eggs Benny with added roasted cherry tomatoes and my husband the big breakfast. As soon as our meals arrived after a bit of a wait we were disappointed. It stated on the menu the eggs Benedict came with field mushrooms; well there was one small mushroom, the roasted cherry tomatoes were plain tomatoes that had obviously not been roasted, the poached eggs were hard on both our plates, the ham that was supposed to be shaved was soccer ball ham and the bread was cut so thick it was difficult to cut through. All in all for a location with such beautiful views I would skip a meal and go for an ice-cream.
