“Love this place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

I can only agree with the other reviews, we've been 3-4 times in the last year and this place never disappoints, it has a nice busy atmosphere, good service and the combination of Japanese Dumplings and Kirin beer hits the spot wonderfully.

This is not a quiet place with ringing bells and chants when someone orders a sake but if you're in the mood for vibrant occasion its great.

“Trendy venue, with friendly and polite service.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

Limited menu, but very friendly and polite service delivered in a trendy venue. Food is very tasty; if you like Japanese dumplings, then definitely check-out this restaurant.

“Fun, fun, fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013 via mobile

This is a great place to go with friends or family. We only queued for about 10 minutes on a Thursday night.
It's a very authentic experience, the decor and service are fantastic. The dumplings are delicious and very fresh. We also had edamame and agedashi tofu. On a tip from a local I ordered the sake, well that certainly woke us from our traveller's fog!
It's not often the adults and kids are equally entertained during a meal out (especially when we're all tired after a day in the car) but the quirky Japanese vibe and yummy food was a hit.

“Fun place to eat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

Be prepared to wait - it is worth it though. I would suggest you come a bit early t avoid the rush. The menu is not extensive but everything is delicious. Service is excellent and quite entertaining. I highly recommend at least one visit here!

“Good food, not worth the wait to be seated on busy nights”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

The dumplings themselves, as well as the edamame were as good as any others I've tried, and service was prompt. It's a fun atmosphere inside, great for small groups, but could get loud at times - maybe not the place for a romantic evening.

On busy nights, you may have to wait half an hour or more (we waited about 45 mins) to be seated. I'd recommend taking a short walk down to Happy Little Dumpling on James St, which has a similar range of dumplings, without the wait, however it's not a formal restaurant like Harajuku Gyoza.

For those who haven't been to Japan, it may be worth a visit just for the Japanese Washlet-style toilet however...
