“Excellent small, modern restaurant with very good food, great wine, friendly service”
I was with 9 work colleagues and we wanted a relaxing dinner with superior food and fine wines. Bar Barossa shaped up really well. The welcome was warm. The wines, French champagne at $20 a glass (good value) and red wines were excellent and came at the waiter's recommendation. The bruschettas were excellent starters, in fact quite the best of these I've ever tasted. My main course of snapper was very fine, the fish well treated and accompanied by well chosen vegetables and very nicely presented. The waiter was friendly, well aware of the fare on offer and ready with well based advice. Only one of us had dessert, a beautiful looking tarte tatin which she rated highly. The food is not cutting edge but it is generous, well treated and good tasting. This was a delightful restaurant that I would revisit any time with enthusiasm and confidence.
