Description: At Jellyfish we aim to source and serve daily a school of 8 to 14 species of fish, to learn about and understand the textures and specific qualities of each species so we can then recommend the best way to cook and serve it. Our chefs create sauces, batters and crumbs as well as an extensive range of side dishes that perfectly compliment the meal. Absolute riverfront, this is arguably the best located restaurant in Brisbane enjoying striking views of the river and the Story Bridge. The décor is fresh and bright with the lines between indoors and out delightfully blurred. We offer a superior wine list of boutique, eclectic and lesser known vineyards as well as firm favourites from the new and old world. Service in the restaurant, the 35-seat Private Dining Room and in our newly expanded bar is always gracious, friendly and relaxed.

“Great meal. Fantastic location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed another great meal at, an iconic Brisbane restaurant. We'll done to all staff. The yellow fin tuna and watermelon salad were divine. Complimented beautifully with Cape Mentelle Semillon Sav Blanc.

“Basic food, basic sauces, all at a premium price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

My partner and I had heard about this restaurant and thought we would give it a try. First the positive!!! The view was great looking over Brisbane River and the Storey Bridge. Now the negative. My partner had the Fried Bugs for main course at $60. The dish looked impressive as the whole bug (shell included) was battered and fried. However the accompanying sweet chilli sauce was poor, tasting like Trident Sweet Chilli sauce straight from the bottle. For the price you pay you get little bug meat. I ordered the fillet steak and it was ordinary. I was left with the feeling the Chef had limited skills and/or if you are happy to pay a premium price for fish and chips, you would probably leave happy. Overall, it was a disappointing dining experience for us. But it must be doing something right as the restaurant was full.

“You will love this if you love seafood!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

My partner and I were on our last night in Brisbane and decided to give The Jellyfish a go. We could not be more happy with our food or service!!! We didnt book but were greeted and seated with a smile. Our waiter Patrick was so welcoming and very informative!! Courses were delivered in a timely fashion and looked AMAZING!!! Patrick felt bad that we had to wait 20 mins for our main so gave us a free drink even tho we had not complained as we had made friends with the people sitting next to us. My Partner had the Bugs which were delish! and I had the lobster. Both were fab and we highly recommend! Dessert is also worth a go, my partner had the brûlée and I had the choc fondant. If you are a choc lover then the fondant is a must! All in all we both had a fantastic night and we will be recommending The Jellyfish to everyone. And we will be returning next time we are in Brisbane :)

“Great location on the Brisbane river”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013

There was a long long wait for any service , waiters walking past us we where about to leave but I grabbed a waiter and asked to place my order and it seems we had been missed because we where "between job stations", our bad luck. For an expensive restaurant a complimentary drink would have been in order, The fish potion was very small (150-200 g) for $39+ but delicious, deserts where super expensive but exquisite , for two courses and a glass of wine expect to pay $90 a head . This dinning experience was very average.

“A little overpriced, but worth it for the location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013

Visited Brisbane with a friend, tried getting a booking on our first night. Settled for the second night of our visit instead after hearing rave reviews of the Barramundi. While the service of the floor staff was outstanding and engaging, the young hostess must of been caught in a moment of tension as she came across quite rude.
Nonetheless the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing (albeit the televisions showing fish, surely a fish tank would be better) and the view of the river is a stand out. The white balsamic oysters were the stand out of the evening, so too the attention to detail of the wine list.
A pleasure Jellyfish !
