“Shockertine”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2013

Despite the reputation, food was second rate- over cooked/obviously pre-prepared , service was very pushy, table cleared before the mouthful was swallowed, despite the place being very quiet.
Why cram all of the 12 diners in one corner together? Made it a very noisy and unenjoyable experience.

“A most enjoyable way to spend a Sunday afternoon”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

My daughter and I ate here yesterday for Sunday lunch and as it was lovely weather we sat outside under the lanterns. On the advice of our waiter, we opted for the set price 4 course menu which included a glass of wine. The first course was a plate containing two tiny sand crab balls and we immediately questioned our decision- but they were delicious and quickly followed by a hefty platter of San Choi Bao, then a Vietnamese chicken salad and finally a crispy skinned pork belly on a divine carrot puree. All four courses were of a consistently high standard, served by a friendly and attentive waiter.

“Great meal good value great night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

Visted with friends and had a great night out. Did not know what to expect/order with French Vietnamese food so went with the chefs selection. Great choice with very good range of dishes to sample. Decor, ambiance, wine list and service was first rate. Very good night!

“Libertine not indulging!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013 via mobile

Very disappointing to see interior looking unloved, light bulbs needed replacing in down lights and chandeliers, no lite candles, missing plates from tables. Not surprising when staff were more concerned about chatting together while enjoying shots with who we guessed was the duty manager. Food was bland, tasteless and sparse. Evening topped off by having to go to bar to pay as staff were engaged in conversation, only to have slightly tipsy waitress not realize she had dropped our credit card and another waitress showing her. Maybe if they had lights she would have seen it. Also music was in mono all evening as they only had one speaker working in their sound system. We won't be back.

“Fresh and tasty!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013 via mobile

We opted to have chefs selection for $55 with a lovely fresh cocktail. Was a wonderful introduction to the fabulous flavours and fresh produce on offer. Great blend of French Vietnamese taste delights and the decor is lovely.
