Thank goodness we only had a short stay here as we really didn't enjoy it. The noise was the worst thing. You can hear other guests talking well into the night and we could also here when our neighbours went to the toilet. Cleanliness is not great as evidenced by the coffee mug rings left on the table, hairpin that hadn't been vacuumed before we moved in and big greasy handprints on glass. The balcony was too digusting for us to venture out onto.
There were quite a few stairs to get to our room which wasn't practical considering all our bags.
They also threaten to charge you $50 if you don't take out your rubbish when you leave or put the dishwasher on before you check out. If it was a backpackers, fair enough. But we paid hotel prices and were really disappointed by this lack of service.
On the plus side the location is good and the pool nice.
But don't be fooled by the publicity images - in reality this place needs a serious spruce up.

Unfortunately, had a very disappointing experience staying at the 612. First thing, although the place was supposed to come with parking, both the outside and inside car parks were fully booked. I was told that's because the gate broke down the night before and when asked if it is ok to park on the street just outside had a very unhelpful lack of "advice" by the telephone reception because "she was offsite" and there was not even an apology for lack of car spaces. Another very helpful guest came up luckily as I was hanging up with the reception, and assured me it is ok to park on the street on the weekend and he said that the gate had been broken for months over his time staying there every few months. Quite obviously if they don't take your license plate, anyone can and does park in that car space except for the guests that should be. I also requested a "quiet" room if possible as had to get up for a very important meeting next morning - and unfortunately was given a room facing the main street, with noise keeping me up most of the night from the loud but inconsistent traffic noise, with the balcony area appearing to have been built in such a way to really intensify the accoustics of the noisy traffic, despite having the all the windows and doors closed, it was so noisy. I don't think I have ever had such a bad nights sleep in any hotel. I guess if you are lucky enough to have a room facing the quiet back street, and didn't need to park a car, it'd be a reasonable enough place to stay.

Room Tip: If you think you could sleep ok as if next to a really busy highway still going through most of the...

Location: GR8 ! midway between Fortitude Valley & cosmopolitan New Farm with easy (public transport access) to the city at the door. Restaurants and other conveniences are just a short walk away.
Service: Booked online, arrived & buzzed the # provided. A friendly voice responded with instructions to access the apartment. Seamless.
Room: One Bedroom - clean , comfortable and modern with kitchen facilities, flat screen TV and writing desk, air con and a gr8 outdoor balcony/dining area. A room non Brunswick St facing would most likely be quiter.
Facilities: This is a GR8 Apartment style property without any 'resort style' facilities such as a pool etc, while there is a Day Spa and Restaurant downstairs making it very convenient.
FOR: Great value, Great Location, Great (auto) service & convenient facilities close by. Free Parking.
AGAINST: Minor, but some detailed cleaning of plates etc would be good
OVERALL: GR8 value, location excellent and will definately return. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Room facing North (not overlooking Brunswick Street) for a quiter experience. (While the place is sm...

I booked the 2 bed deluxe apartment for the family to stay for 10 days at the end of January. The hotel staff gave us a good rate for the room. The hotel is located at a handy location, close to transport, restaurants and the city. The apartment was spacious, but needed a good clean. We found blood stain on bed sheet in one of the rooms on the first night, which wasn't a good experience for us.
Overall, I think the location and the rates are good, but probably won't stay here again.

Room Tip: The deluxe room has a balcony facing the inside of the complex which is a good feature to have.

Stayed here for a week.

Location's good, depending on where you want to be, of course. Near the heart of The Valley. Bars, restaurants, pubs, bottle o's, fast food, and clubs around. Around 10 minutes walk to the river.

I had a 2 bed apartment for most of my stay. Quite spacious. Kitchen was not bad and most things I'd need to rustle up a meal were there (utensil wise). Large TV. Cable, with an ok package. Stereo. Washing machine and drier. 2 large balconies overlooking the pool. WiFi available. Parking spaces in the basement car park (secure).

Cleanliness was a bit suspect. Quite noticeable in the kitchen especially.

It could be a little noisy at night. You are in The Valley, after all. The room I had for most of my stay, which was on the inside of the complex, was quieter than the one I had on the exterior.

I believe these apartments are all privately owned. They may vary wildly with regards to their furnishings. I know I far preferred my 2nd room, but unfortunately the room numbers of both of them are long gone from memory.

Could do worse. Could do better. Personally I'd stay at 612 on Brunswick over this place, every time. (612's managed by the same people.)

Good location. Not flash but overall very comfortable. Desperately needs a french press coffee pot in the kitchen. Would be happy to stay here again. Good value - very quiet. Nice receptionist.

We arrived the day after my Mum and her husband got there, they had spent the first night with broken aircon and had only had 2 hours sleep due to heat. The TV was about to break and only played in a purpley black and white colour, the other TV upstairs didn't work at all. My Dad arrived the same day as us to another room that didn't have working air conditioning, they were moved from a really nice looking room to a rather tired, unkept looking room that did have working air conditioning. The balcony was nice and big but only a small table with a couple of chairs to relax on. The staff were unfriendly and hardly ever at the desk when we came up with a query. I'm not a fussy person when it comes to accommodation but for 180 night I didn't want to feel like I was staying in a backpackers.
It's in a good location, but noisy area. Wouldn't go back.

Room Tip: Get one on the bottom floor, way nicer than top floor for same price.
