“The best B and B ever”

There is nothing I can fault in this delightful B and B. The rooms are imaculate. I slept beautifully. Lovely restaurants within a short walking distance. The hosts are charming. Why on earth would anyone wnat to stay anyhwere else?

What an absolutely delightful boutique hotel experience. Instinctively I knew that this was going to be a special stay. Rachel and Tim are attentive hosts, but also allow you the freedom to have your own space. The property is based in Paddington which reminds me of Paddington in Sydney - it's close to the city, has great restaurants and fabulous homeware shops. The rooms are stylish with a bathroom that has better lighting than any hotel chain I've stayed at. There is parking available if required, but we found plenty on street level withouty any parking restrictions.
Tim is great at sharing tips for dining in the area and knows all the local attractions. And that special touch was leaving me breakfast in my room when they heard I had an ungodly 5am flight home. We will return...

Room Tip: We stayed in the Caxton which had a lovely little balcony.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Collingwood on a trip to Brisbane in May. The room was very clean and comfortable, possibly the most comfortable bed we had during our whole trip to Australia. The service was wonderful. Tim and Rachel went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. They were very helpful in making plans for what to do in the Brisbane area. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful...they even made cappucinos or lattes to order which is a nice touch.

The location is a little away from the main city attractions. The surrounding area was a neat little town though, but you definitely have to take either the bus or drive to get into the main city area.

Stayed here for one night and wish we'd been able to stay longer! Tim and Rachel the owners are the friendliest people you could wish to meet and the way they make you feel at home as soon as you arrive is fantastic. Breakfast was delicious and clearly a lot of thought and time has gone into making sure every guest is catered for. Will definitely be back next time we are in Brisbane and would highly recommend this over the chain hotels in the CBD which are 3x the price and although great are nothing on this beautiful gem tucked away in the stunning suburb of Paddington. Try the Italian down the road too - awesome Pizza!

Booking The Collingwood was the start of an unforgettable trip to Brisbane. This was our launch pad and it was so nice that it was hard to get up in the morning and leave it! Tim and Rachel run a world-class establishment with every amenity available. With the bus stop down the street, it offers the uniqueness of the Paddington location (no chain restaurants here!) with quick access to the city. We are just waiting for Tim to write that book.....

Room Tip: All the rooms have private patios but we also had a small study/sitting room that was nice because I...

I stayed at The Collingwood for three days while in Brisbane for a conference and was so very happy I did. The room was very clean and comfortable, had amenities of boutique hotel but was small and quiet with the added bonus of a private verandah to relax on in the evening. Tim and Rachel went above and beyond to provide service (little things like offering a cup of tea AFTER I'd checked out and was waiting for the taxi) but were never intrusive. Definitely my first choice for all future trips to Brisbane.

Firstly, I would like to confirm ALL the previous posts, commenting on what a great B& B this gem of a place is. Yes, it's all true.

The property is well presented, the rooms are comfortable and well appointed. This purpose built property has 4 en-suited guest rooms upstairs and a warm and welcoming lounge/ dining area downstairs (where the entrance is).

Aesthetics aside, what makes this property (IMO) successful is the professionalism and care that the hosts Tim and Rachel seem to effortlessly apply to their guests. A great example of this care was illustrated when we stayed a night in Brisbane attending a concert and in passing conversation, during check in, we mentioned that were looking forward to attending concert at said location. Tim later found out that the concert we were attending was actually at a different location and he was kind enough to contact us on our mobile to ask us to check our tickets again to make sure we were heading to the right venue. That's great service on any level.

(and yes were heading to the wrong venue so he saved us a whole lot of hurt)

Overall, highly recommend this property if you want a great B&B in Brisbane.
