“Good Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2014

Great location, close to Southbank, Convention Centre, West End & easy walk to Queen St Mall. Very helpful when enquiring about the apartments and able to obtain the apartment that assisted in the reason for our visit. Friendly greeting upon arrival and nothing was a problem. We appreciated that our friends were able to park in the complex for a couple of hours free of charge whilst we attended charity bike ride to raise funds for MS (parking was at a premium as streets were blocked off for the Event). The apartment was clean and adequate for a short or long stay, complementary toiletries, the bikkies in the fridge were a treat. Very friendly departure process, friendly management and staff. Recommended and we have booked for next year.

If you are attending a conference or a meeting at Brisbane Convention Centre this is the place where you should stay. There is a Subway, an Indian Restaurant in the vicinity

I paid AUD 186 per night for a one bedroom apartment. Thats a premium price - didn't felt while staying there. If you are happy to pay this price for this location - this is the best option

Stayed for 3 nights to attend a conference at the convention centre.
Great location - 5-10min walk to the southbank train station (~$17 one way to the airport on the weekend), the convention centre and southbank parklands (great place for a morning walk). $50-60 in a taxi from the airport to the apartments after 8pm on a Wednesday night.
Studio apartment was a very good size with a large bed. Very clean. Small kitchenette with a microwave, cutlery and crockery. Staff were friendly.
Only negative was the amount of construction going on in the area at the moment - even at 6am on a Saturday! Can't be helped by the owners though.

Parkview is in a great location with respect to the Gabba and South Bank and there are also a good selection of cafes and shops nearby. The apartment we had was huge and of good standard. We had a nice deck and the pool/pool area is fantastic. Overall would happily recommend - our only complaint is that we made an error in our booking with a double when we needed twin, and were then charged $35 to have the bedding configuration changed. So make sure you get this bit right and you'll be fine.

We stayed here for 4 nights in December. The location overlooks a park and is close to the shops, supermarket and eating places on Boundary Road as well being 5 minutes walk from the South Bank and S. Brisbane station for transport links to the CBD. The managers (temporary cover because the normal manager was on holiday) were very friendly and helpful. The room, a one bedroom apartment, was clean, comfortable and spacious with a well equipped kitchenette but the bathroom was a let down! - very old and worn fittings and a rundown appearance. The balcony would have been great except for the noise from a nearby building site! There is free wifi but the allowance is inadequate, especially given the cost of the rooms. The other annoying feature is the reception being closed so early in the evening. Although the arrangements for getting into the room if you arrive late are adequate, it really is unwelcoming when you arrive, tired, after a day's travel. Overall, this is a great location with comfortable, spacious, rooms but the various irritating, penny-pinching, faults make it overpriced and certainly not of a 4-star standard.

The only thing the Parkview has going for it is it's in a good location. We booked a Studio Apartment for one night and that's all I could have done. The rooms are very old and very dated, the decor is below average - the nicest furniture was the $40 Bunnings small table and 2 chairs set on the very small balcony. Bad bed and pillows but at least it was a King Size. We checked in after office hours (Saturday afternoon) and had no problem getting our key out of the safe but no instructions or access through the gate into to the carpark so had to drive around until we found a park on the street.
The park across the road looks nice but it's full of "locals" sitting around drinking and then fighting so the police were around all night.
The only other positive thing is it's close to a little hub of restaurants and coffee shops but again the area is a bit dodgy.
Had very little interaction with the management but when I did they were nice and helpful.
Overall it's definitely not for us and didn't represent good value, the whole environment is old and quite depressing.

This is a good option for long term stay. I was on a business trip and stayed here for 10 days.
Our office was at 10 min walking distance so was okay with me.
There are lot of variety of restaurants nearby and grocery store as well. Only thing is, this is away from downtown and all the fun which is in downtown on weekends. It takes 20-25 min to walk to downtown.
The swimming pool was closed for some reason.
