“FISHING CHARTER. Cape York Peninsula Fishing.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2014

We were in cape York to catch a Barramundi. The weather was doubtful and we had arranged to go out Jay Arnold from Cape York Peninsula Fishing. he said he would meet us in the morning of our booked charter to discuss if it was worth going. He said if it was no good we would not go and in so doing cost him money and save us some. It was great to meet an honest man.

We went and had a fantastic day with a professional that cared.

A small operator, great boat and a fantastic attitude to his clients.

Thanks to all the staff who made the trip so great!! had a blast, and will be coming back again!! - Easy to find - we parked with Park N Fly 403 Sheridan Street OPP airport turn off. they have a free shuttle that took us to the wharf and picked us up when we returned, and it was inside locked up. very good price too.
Thanks Cairns for your great hospitality

“Unspoilt tip of Australia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

Unlike many unique geographical locations around the world Cape York is refreshingly free of fast food outlets, photo booth vendors, souvenir sellers etc. (or any other amenity). The only blot being the presence of cane toads that have made it right to the tip.
The location is stunningly beautiful especially the adjacent white sand beach lined by palms & a mangrove swamp.
We spent a very pleasant couple of hours walking from the tip to explore the adjacent jungle and savanna observing the bird, insect and animal life.
The visit was facilitated by a zodiac landing from a small cruise ship so that we did not experience any of the hardships that other travelers have reported.

“Frontier Safaries tour to Cape York”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013

If you are thinking of going with this mob, think again. Terrible food and service. Hygiene and washing up was unacceptable. Very disorganised, our pick up in Cairns did not arrive and that was just the start of a very low rate holiday to an amazing place. We paid full fare the only ones on the trip as all others had 50% off. A no frills holiday on a budget food regime at a maximum price. Very disappointed in our trip of a lifetime. No compensation from a very disinterested owner. Go with one of the other ones.

“Frontier safaries cape york tour”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

Pick-up in Cairns - did not happen. Just made it to airport by taxi. Pick-up in Seisia - late
One driver who was also cook, tour guide, chief organizer.Cooking Facilities were trailer (chuck wagon) powered by 2 dud batteries (hense fridges did not work properly), 2 gas ring stove to feed 16 people, 2 x 20lt containers to hold drinking water for 16 people, 1 carton beer as we were told they had special tourist alchol licence and were not to bring our own plus 2 casks wine.
ITINERARY was changed days before our departure to allow us a smoother ride. Most likely this was to allow driver extra free time with his Italian female friend, hence we bipassed Weipa.
Itinerary also state there would be photo oportunities- not with this driver- we drove straight past. And i could go on and on about this tours failures. The trip is quoted at $2860 per person but lucky us we received 52% discount with Groupon. Commentary was not good as drivers 2nd trip with no training.
Company has offered us a free day tour of Cairns,Sydney or Melbourne as compansation for a botched once in a lifetime tour
