“Large spacious rooms for a family”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2014

The central location is great. You can walk to restaurants etc. We have 3 children so the 2Br apartment was fantastic. The pool was very cold in July. One massive issue was the bed in the main bedroom had not been changed!!! Fair to say we were not impressed. The staff quickly changed it with clean sheets however we were surprised there was no apology from anyone the next morning or when we checked out.

Room Tip: the higher levels enjoy a great view

Stayed the nights of 10-15 August 2014 at Mantra Pandanas. Travelled on business but the room was worth $252 a night. Different types of rooms are available, including apartments with kitchen and washing facilities. Room had a balcony with outdoor furniture, TV with satellite channels, air-conditioning and a dehumidifier. Complimentary internet not provided in the room but there are two computers in the reception area for guests. On-site car parking available. Staff were helpful with local information and booking taxis. About a 20-minute drive from Darwin Airport and a 5-10 minute walk from supermarkets, restaurants and other entertainment. Recommended for a relaxing stay in Darwin.

Room Tip: Ask for an ocean view.

Stayed here for four nights on 18th floor with old friend. Room spacious with all the facilities we needed, including washing machine and drier. Clean, quiet and comfortable. We didn't eat there, except for our final evening, but found a handy Coles (like UK Asda) and equippped ourselves for breakfasts, snacks, wine, etc., and ate out the rest of the time. Pool lovely and quiet; as others have said, hotel accommodation in Darwin is expensive probably because it is something of a boom city, with liquid gas exports going great guns. That said, it was well worth the money, with first rate air con - vital in Darwin's 33 degree heat. Would use it again if in Darwin.

Room Tip: Darwin is a city, but not as UK or European travellers would understand this. At only 24,000 reside...

Had the pleasure of staying here for a few days and what a great location to explore Darwin. Clean and comfortable room, very spacious bathroom with washer and dryer. The balcony was great for meals and drink. awesome views over the CBD and the harbor. Very quiet and relaxing.

Room Tip: Get a harbor view if possible

Excellent location and very good value for money if booked in advance as Darwin tends to be an expensive city for good hotels. Hotel standard is excellent, cleanliness, facilities and staff all very helpful. Room size is above standard, a reasonable size bathroom with a great rain soaker showerhead (albeit maybe a tad environmentally unfriendly, but still very nice!)

Rooms with balconies have a lovely outlook and outdoor furniture on the balcony for those that want to take in the heat! Plenty of choices for dining nearby, and also in the hotel. Breakfast was a typical hotel style but still easy and fresh. City centre is 3 minute walk. Overall a very nice stay, our second in 2 years.

Room Tip: Get a balcony and ask for a higher floor.

This hotel is well located for an easy walk to shops, restaurants and bars. Although we arrived after check-in time our room wasn't ready and after waiting 20 minutes we were eventually given another room overlooking the pool. It seemed, potentially, a noisy location, however, there were few pool users and with the door closed there was no external noise. The room was spacious, modern and comfortable but could have been cleaner. Breakfast was good and the dining room pleasant. Free parking is provided, however, if you have a vehicle with a low skirt you would be taking a risk to cope with the steep drive into the carpark. The most annoying part of our stay was the wait for the elevators.

The wife and I stayed n this hotel for 5 nights during our visit to Darwin. We were very satisfied with services provided. Nice quality of linen and toiletries I loved their soap which had a nice citrus smell, right amount of towels which were a good size. We had a studio apartment on the 8th floor, the view wasn't very good but we weren't there for the view. The apartment had a kitchenette, TV in the lounge ad bedroom, stereo, all necesarry cooking utensils table and chairs, desk and plenty of powerpoints. The couch was a little hard as it was a sofa bed but we didn't spend a lot of time sitting in our room. The hotel organised two day trips for us via email and we had no problems. All in all a nice stay.

Room Tip: If you want a better view ask for a room higher up.
