With the balmy weather this walk is best started early in the morning at sunrise - which also offers the best photo opportunities. The buidlings and facilities in this precinct are impressive. A it is unsafe to swim in Darwin's beaches during the wet season they have and artificial beach with a wave making machine which costs $5 for half a day. There is also a fenced off section of the bay, without waves, where you can enjoy an ocean swim as well. There is even a life guad on duty from 9 am tgo 5 pm. There are numerous water front walks and I was impressed by the cleanliness and how well the facilities are maintained. The lack of graffiti was also welcome.
