“Great for fruit and veg”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2012

Rapid Creek Markets is open on Sundays 7-11 and also on Friday nights. There is more produce here than any of the other markets. Lots of fruit, vegetables and asian delicacies. The centre it is in has been renovated a couple of years ago and there are quite a few asian food shops in the centre selling all sorts of herbs and spices. There is also Greenies Food which is organic/health foods. There is an indian shop which sells saris and bangles and the like. This market closes much earlier than Nightcliff Market which is also on Sundays, so you can go from on then onto the other. There is food in the back courtyard area and they have recently started putting lots of chairs out under a shade structure, however there is certainly nothing much to look at whilst you are eating unlike Parap or Nightcliff Markets. This is certainly the place for fruit, vegies, fresh seafood and flowers.

Most of the markets is in the hallway between the permanent shops and it is not the place for prams/strollers and would be difficult for those in wheelchairs as it gets quite crowded.

“Great garden market!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2012 via mobile

More of a garden market than the others in Darwin, although still with amazing food stalls and other quirks. Best place to get fresh local tropical/Asian produce and less crowded than other markets.
