This gaol is an interesting visit. Has a good scope of history about the gaol, is maintained well and is easy to get around if you have an hour to spare. Readily reachable with public transport and private vehicle alike. There isn't much to the buildings aside from the plaques out front. Most of the buildings are bare with internal cells. A degree of imagination is required when looking into cells, kitchens and in most of the buildings but the feel of the place has not left. Wouldn't want to be here in its day. A few more dioramas would be good to visually demonstrate conditions and story. Overall a good visit.
