I visited with my wife to mark the occasion of my birthday. We ordered some favourite dishes and also something that we have not tried before. Unfortunately, most of the dishes were not to our satisfaction and we left without considering a desert. My wife actually became sick while in the restaurant and I was unwell for the rest of the evening and the next day.
We started with a soup with prawns and a red curry duck that were more or less ok. But some of the next dishes were not quite there. One of them was a fish dish that resembled a fried leftover pieces swimming in a soup. The next one, which was my wife’s favourite, was a bok choy dish since she is not a keen meat eater. However, when it arrived she was not sure if the plate was an extra or the actual dish. All it contained was a few heads of bok choy swimming in soya sauce tasting liquid. She was a bit disappointed, especially when she remembered that it could look much better with a lot of bits and pieces of goodies mixed with it. However, the most disappointing part is that this dish is listed in a vegetarian section. It was worse than an attempt from a traditional country pub at a vegetarian meal. A joke. It would hardly pass for a side salad. To top it all off her another duck dish, that came in a bowl of some kind of liquid made her sick before we finished.
We were very, very disappointed. It appears that on that day the kitchen was run by a team of apprentices left with no supervision.
The only consolation was that we had no visitors coming along with us this time, since we would be very embarrassed to experience something like this with them.
Also it would be worth mentioning that your attempt at Indian style bread is quite poor and overpriced. It may be worth a while to check out some of your competitors to find out what it is meant to look like.
One more thing. I would appreciate if you stocked and served the beverages listed in your beverage list.
I wrote a letter to the management a fair few weeks ago, but received no reply. Perhaps this time somebody will notice.
