Description: Tali provides an a la carte dining that is second to none in the region, offering cuisine that is a blend of modern Australian fare with a hint of the Outback. With seating for up to 180 people, diners have the option of sitting inside or outside on a shaded deck. Two private rooms are perfect for parties, meetings or special occasions (approximate capacity of 10 and 20 each or there is a sliding door that can be opened to create a room of approx. 32.)Tali will be open seven days a week, and offer breakfast (buffet and a la carte), lunch and dinner as well as brunch until 2pm on the weekends. A la carte table service will be complemented by an exciting wine list that combines popular wines with a few rarer, more unusual offerings.Tali means 'sand dunes' in the Pitjantjatjara language of Central Australian and is a recurring theme in many local artworks featured within the new Premium hotel wing. As well as strongly linking the restaurant to its Central Australian location, Tali is also reflective of restaurant decor in terms of colour palette, carpet design, artwork, and landscaping.

“Great environment”

Service was ok, selection of drinks is great, food was great (we all had the barramundi) but most of the menu is quite expensive but accompanies the menu and setting

Thank you for the feedback & we are happy you enjoyed your meal! As for pricing, Tali uses only the freshest ingredients e.g. fresh seafood is flown in twice a week & all menu items are handmade including the pasta! We hope you'll dine with us again & we are looking into any service issues.

“Terrible service and very over priced!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2013

I went with a girlfriend to have breakfast on Wednesday morning as we like to try different places in town, The décor of tali is beautiful.. too bad about everything els. We walked in to the front counter to ask about the menu for breakfast/buffet, the staff member said $50.00, we hadn't said anything yet, she then got annoyed and said do you want the buffet breakfast or not. Stunned my friend said ok and paid the $50. The staff member then walked off, so we assumed we would get plates? after walking around looking for them, we finally stopped another staff member who rolled her eyes at us and said yeh we are getting some clean plates now.
The food was fine but nothing special and sadly the bacon was so undercooked you would not want to eat. I would suggest going to Page 27 or The Red ochre, Breakfast is half the price!

Thank you for the feedback. We are happy you enjoyed the ambiance in Tali. As for the breakfast, on weekdays there is a breakfast buffet & weekends there is a brunch menu available from 11am - 2pm which is available on our website. http://www.lasseters.com.au/dining/tali

“Has lots of potential”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2013

We all had a really good meal here, but there are still what might be teething problems to sort out. Service is slow, and it seemed no-one was really very experienced. This was right from when we arrived on a quiet night and hung around to get seated. Once we were seated, we hung around for the drinks to arrive, then hung around waiting for our orders to be taken. The vegetable lasgnetti was excellent, as were the Angus rump and the lamb, although we probably should have ordered some side dishes. We sat outside , which was in a very pretty setting. I thought inside looked cavernous and unwelcoming. We hung around for our account, and after going to the reception to pay, hung around there too.. All up - far too much hanging around, but excellent food. Once the service is improved, it should be a great addition to the Alice eating scene

“Everyone must try Tali!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2013

Went to Tali for dinner a few nights ago for the first time, it has a beautiful modern & fresh look. Food was absolutely delicious! (all of us were tempted to lick our plates) Our waiter was a little inexperienced but he was friendly nonetheless and our food/drinks arrived quickly. Happy and peaceful atmosphere, interesting watching the chefs cook our meals. Everyone was very professional and helpful.
Will definitely visit again! We all had a great night there and will recommend to everyone.
