“Lovely view of the MacDonnell Ranges but rooms need refurb & deep clean”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

Our travel agent listed this as a first class hotel. When we arrived we thought ok looks nice. The communal parts look fine & the reception staff efficient & helpful. Our room was on the second floor, had a balcony with a lovely view across the golf course to the MacDonnell Ranges. The room decor was dated & the cleanliness needed improving, especially the bathroom (a few hairs which weren't ours). Someone (presume the previous guest) had left the alarm clock set for midnight (thanks, we didn't check it before going to bed). As I was now awake, got up to use the bathroom. Even before turning the bathroom light on I could see something big & dark on the floor by the loo. I'm not good with English spiders so the Australian ones freak me out so I got me husband to deal with it. Much to his surprise when he turn the light on, it was a big cockroach. It took cover in the rolled up bath mat, but we managed to trap it in a glass. The rest if the night was quiet. We let the man on reception know when we checked out the next day & he did make a note of it.

Room Tip: Check if the alarm clock is set on, you not want to be woken early. If there's a rolled up bath...

Love Alice Springs! Breakfast good with very peaceful music to wake up to. Staff helpful and friendly. Alice Springs a lovely place, terrific landscape. Airport easy to get along with. Easy to walk to main town centre to eat or have a look around.

Spent our last night in Red Centre in this hotel. Got an upgrade as Hilton Gold member, nice spacious room with mountains view and balcony. Hotel pool was great, with a peacock strolling around :) Dinner in the asian restaurant and the breakfast were very nice.

Booked on line, As an elite Hilton HHonors™ member, choose a room now and we’ll upgrade you upon arrival to the best of our ability.
Restaurant and bar very good.
** This is utter rubbish!!! My room had a large bush outside, no mountain view, although when I enquired at reception, I was informed it was classed as a King size room with a mountain view.

The mocha coffee I asked for, was scolding red hot, I doubt it had any coffee in it. Took a reminder to actually receive it, and then came in a take way cup.....!

""Just swing by the front desk to grab your key when you arrive. You’ll be stretched out on that comfy bed before you know it."" All sounds very pleasant, until you are lured in there.

The champagne, if you order on line, make sure you order before the weekend, as the staff in that department don't work weekends.!!!

Room Tip: I am a Hilton HHonours Gold member and my room was crap, so good luck!!!

This hotel is average at best. My booking was wrong, I was given the wrong room, there was problems on check out... Not a good hotel experience. The opposite of everything running smoothly.

The room was not bad, fairly standard 4 star. The pool was ice cold. I didnt eat at the hotel as the Lasseters Casino is next door. I probably should have stayed there too!

Our room was quite a distance from the lobby. Nice and clean with a deck overlooking the distant hotel pool. Bathroom was a bit tired, but fine to use. Room had two double beds, one much softer than the other. We chose to sleep on the softer one and had a good nights sleep. Breakfast buffet was a good selection and very enjoyable.
Main problem I see with this hotel is the distance from the town. Only about 20mins walk, but it can get very hot, also a bit dark at night. The hotel next door has loan bikes, but our hotel didn't seem to have them. I would have loved the convenience of using a bike to get around town.

Hotel property is large, lots of open area very spread out. Which could be a problem for those who have trouble walking. Very nice large lobby, large room and bath, nice restaurants and pool.

Three adults traveling, shared a room with two double beds. The balcony over looked a large open grass area and a golf course, where lots of birds were searching for food, mountain range in the distance. Pool look nice, but not as big as there photos show, but we were to busy sight seeing to enjoy it.

FOOD: Breakfast Buffett - nice selection. Lots of large tour groups were staying here, even though the eating area was large it was hard to find a place for a group of 3 individual travelers to sit. Plus some items were already gone, even though it was still early.

Deck and Sandwich Bar: Serves lunch and dinner - good sandwiches.

HANUMAN - served excellent Thai dishes. BUT YOU MUST make reservations ahead. Very popular and busy place, lots of locals eat here as well as large tour groups and convention meeting groups.

Walk to town 1.9 km. flat easy walk, about 25 mintues. Not a walk you would do if the temperatures are high. Was also told not to walk to town at night.
