Interesting history of how it all started, if you are lucky you may be there when a class is in progress, otherwise a video is shown of previous lessons.

“A must visit if you come to Alice Springs.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2013

This school and visitor attraction has a very interesting history about how education is provided to children of all ages and cultures in very remote locations. We probably spend about an hour there and 90 minutes is probably sufficient. Our guide was excellent; knowledgeable and friendly and passionate about her work.

“Most enjoyable.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

A rare look into the past and present life of children in the outback. The School has a nice presentation and you are able to see the studios they use as classrooms for their school programs. We were able to purchase a book to add to the library that they use to send books to the children. Fascinating way of life.

This is a must see in Alice. The school uses a variety of methods to provided schooling to 150 remote children across the Northern Territories. It also gives you an insight into life in the outback.
