“Closed on Sundays and Saturday afternoon!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

Can't say that much as most of the shops were closed when we arrived on Saturday afternoon and again when we re-visited on Sunday morning!

“Why was it closed?!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013

We were so looking forward to our visit but this place was completely closed over Christmas and well into the new year. What a disappointment!

“Art and Museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

The museums are small but very personal and interesting. After watching a movie about excavation of fossils, the scientist highlighted just walked by and the cashier introduced us. There was a Xmas fair going on and the local children were performing. Lovely, personal experience. Aboriginal Art in the Museum was better than what we saw in Sydney. Well worth the visit.

“The only bad thing about our trip.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2012

We were on a tour with Emu Run which was absolutely excellent, one of the stops was the Alice Springs Cultural Precinct which in itself is wonderful. Unfortunately the only cafe available is at the Cultural Precinct happened to be closed on the day that we were there, as you can imagine 40 degree heat and no where to buy a drink - I was able to convince the staff to open the cafe to serve drinks and icecreams to the people on our tour, but being closed was unforgiveable as there simply is no where else to purchased food or drinks. I was told that they were closed as they were filming a documentary - if that is the case then a provision should have been made where visitors could still purchase food and drinks. This a perhaps one of the most remote places on the planet, there is one cafe / shop and it was closed at 2pm in the afternoon - the staff were rude and simply did not care. This is a major tourist attraction with little thought given to tourists, management need to take care that this doesn't happen again. Image being out there with no food or drink because you had planned eating at the Cafe, and then it's closed. Shame on you, it was the only slight on our day and unfortunately all of the good things about the cultural precinct were forgotten. We know that this centre has won lots of major awards - it's management needs to manage all aspects of the centre or at least ensure that all businesses within take care to do the right thing. Disappointed in the way in which we were dealt with.

“enjoyable stroll”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

I hopped off here from the hop on hop off day tour (which lasted 2 days) and had an enjoyable walk around seeing a great variety of things, art, plane, hanger, cemetery (very historical) etc. Actually 70mins wasn't enought time to see it all.
