“Got a few hours spare?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

Coming into Alice Springs in the afternoon, we booked a sunset ride at the last minute. On a weekday, there was only three of us - perfectly quiet to enjoy the sunset over the West MacDonnell Range.

I was fearing that my backside would get a pounding from the camel ride. Strangely enough, it was a gentle and comfortable bobbing ride around the track.

You get to know the camels and their funny characters, the one that's a bit stubborn, the one that pines after their mates if they don't get a walk, the one that likes a cheeky munch on the local vegetation next to the path.

Remember to take a shower after the ride, unless you like to impress others with the new fragrance Eau de Camel.

Recommended.

“Pleasant surprise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

Arrived in Alice Springs in the late afternoon with no plans for the evening. Called Pyndan about their sunset ride. An hour later, someone came to pick us up and take us to the "ranch". It took about 20 minutes to get there and another 15 to be ready to ride - relatively short period for this type of operation. Took a one hour ride out into the Outback as the sun went down. Breathtaking. Our guide was well informed, answered any questions we had and willingly took lots of pics. No charge! Did not think of riding a camel when I came to AU as it is not one of the animals I associate with that country. But then, I did not know that there are almost a million camels in AU. Great Fun!!

“A sunset camel ride, perfect way to finish the day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

The staff were young enthusiastic and very helpful. The camels were friendly and well trained and feeding them at the end of the ride was a bonus. Great value for money as included is a pick up and drop off at your accommodation.

Hi thanks for your time to write a review. Glad you felt that it was worth the $$. We try to keep it affordable too! And the camels eat so much hay!
