“An awesome night spent at this hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

A very comfortable and enjoyable night staying here and dining in the restaurant. Weird to say but it just had a great vibe when you walked in! Lots of happy people enjoying themselves, happy staff, great food and a great experience. Will be back!

Room Tip: They are all good :)

We had booked a night at the Mantra Pavilion in Wagga Wagga to attend a graduation ceremony at Charles Sturt University. On arrival the staff were extremely helpful. We needed an early check in - fixed no problems. I needed to post an important item back to Melbourne. Once again - no problem - A staff member went and found a suitable envelope from their own supply. Another a stamp and offered to take the letter to the PO and post it.
The rooms are modern and the beds would be the most comfortable I have slept in for a long while. Irons and Ironing boards in the room - an essential to spruce up before the graduation ceremony after a 6 hour drive from Melbourne.
The bar staff were very friendly and were helpful in recommending a suitable restaurant for a celebration.

I organised a group of friends to welcome a new resident to Wagga and selected this restaurant for our breakfast on the 6 th Dec because I had dined there previously for dinner and found it to be excellent,. What a disappointment ! The staff were not friendly and seemed unhappy when we made any request. We were a group of 13 adults and 6 children and there were no other customers at the time. We waited almost an hour for our breakfast . The eggs were poached hard and the toast was so tough to eat even though I tried to wash it down with water. My friends all had complaints about the meal. We were never asked "How is your breakfast". The service and meal was not at the food standard you would expect from such a venue and poor value for the price.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A RESTAURANT REVIEW ONLY
Have not been able to find a separate listing for the restaurant

I caught up with a large number of friends for a pre Christmas breakfast at the Mantra Restaurant.

Pros:
Lovely decor and atmosphere

Cons:
Only 1 staff member so it took a very, very long time for drinks to be ordered and delivered and then breakfast orders to be taken and to arrive. The staff member was lovely but there were too many of us for her to do her job efficiently. (Yes we had booked and they knew we were coming!)

The food was tepid at best when it arrived

Food arrived in rounds so as some guests were finishing some people were only starting

Eggs were over done - usually I like to be asked how I like my eggs done, but here you get what comes!

The sourdough was ridiculously hard and it couldn't be cut!!

Overall, very disappointing especially as I have eaten here before and have left really positive reviews. It was a shame.

Stayed 22 Nov 2014 - never stayed here before and found the accommodation lovely, the room very clean and quiet, had everything you need for the night. Enjoyed the cafe in the afternoon and when we came back in the evening after a show. Great breakfast this morning and a nice bottle of cold water on departure. We had great service from professional and friendly staff.
thanks for an enjoyable stay. I will be back.

Room Tip: I stayed in room 109 - out the back of the hotel facing carpark, ground floor - away from the front...

I stayed here having not stayed in Wagga for quite some time, and had never stayed here before. I found it online and it was reasonably priced and the decor and appearance looked pleasant enough. The building itself is an interesting one to look at initially, but the restaurant/bar is great, and the check in/concierge staff were helpful. Once in the room I couldn't have been happier, the room was well appointed and clean, with modern facilities etc., the beds are comfortable and to the delight of one of my travelling companions the pillows were outstanding (so much so that he decided to ask them where he could buy some!). Will definitely be staying here again.
