“Good venue for informal business dinner but not great value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013 via mobile

1. Many of the "relatively expensive" seafood items we intend to order are not available.
2. A bit noisy
3. Good seafood but not great
4. Friendly service

“A very nice Japanese restaurant in the city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

I'm not a seafood eater at all, but this restaurant had plenty for me to enjoy. The Karaage Chicken was a standout entree, so delicious, and the wagyu beef and pork mains were excellent too. I will happily return here with my large group of seafood eating friends, knowing that I will still be well catered for.

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

We found this place while looking for a light Japanese meal on our first night in Sydney. What a find !! The service and food and ambience was fantastic. The decor is very simple and pleasing. The place was very full, with lots of Asians - always a good sign !
We will certainly return.

“Bento lunch brilliance…”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2013

Visited the Miso branch in World Square of this chain for a lunch on our first day in Sydney. The restaurant is located on the Pitt Street side of World Square, and occupies the ground floor of shop 20. We arrived at 130pm and luckily got the only available table for 3 in this informal / canteen style eatery. We each ordered one of the bento boxes – which are simply huge and packed with a great selection of dishes. One of table we had Miso bento which comes with pork brochette covered in a dark sauce, deep fried soft shelled crab, salmon sashimi, rice, miso soup, spring roll, as well as an array of different salads and bite size eats! We also tried the fillet and prawn set which came with 2 massive king prawns, a deliciously tender & tasty pork fillet, Asian coleslaw, French beans in dressing, rice, miso and a couple of other salads. Service is warm friendly and efficient, prices are just under $20 for each bento – which we thought were high on initial impression – however when you taste the quality and quantity are definitely worth it. All in all an excellent lunch – and well worth a visit if you’re in the area… Would be 5* if the surroundings were slightly more refined - but this is being picky!!
