This is the only place I go to for sushi in Sydney - perhaps I need to broaden my horizons, but why bother when you've found such great quality and such reasonable prices, right in the heart of Sydney. After the Sydney ANA Hotel changed to the Shangri La, and subsequently closed the Sushi Bar, this became the best place for sushi with some staff making the move across.
As part of The Establshment it is of course chic and sophisticated and likely to be filled with savvy thirtysomethings and above. It's best to perch yourself at the counter that surrounds the central work area so you can enjoy a view of the masters at work. Otherwise the tables around the edge of the small, intimate and stylish space (capacity ~30) provide enough intimacy while still enjoying a view of everyone in the room.
The seafood is of the freshest quality and the value is surprisingly excellent. I've been enjoying this venue for at least 5 years and always recommend it.
