“Fantastic Service and food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

Okay having been to Aria and Quay a number of times and loving his place in Melbourne at the casino this was on the to do list for a while but never got the chance to go till this Friday.

First of all I must say Mr Guillaume Brahimi is nothing but a nice guy, i said hello to him as i have seen him and said hello to him at Bistro Gulliaum in Melbourne and when i saw him here i had to say a quick hello and thank you as we left and he said hi in a very friendly manner as always, just a pure class on his behalf.

Loved the food, the service and the views , it was nothing but Perfect and i will return here and bring clients once again for lunch and family for dinner.

What we lack in Australia in terms of hospitality is really customer service and it really annoys me but not at this place as its nothing but perfect, well its really obvious that it comes all the way from the top as he is a lovely guy and his staff take after him.

Amazing food and i suggest that if you are thinking of going here please do make the journey as you will not be disappointed.

Thank you for a great lunch and i wish him all the best in what ever he does in the future.

“Very Disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

We have eaten at Guillaume often before a show at the Sydney Opera house and found their Pre-Theatre menu product good. With this memory in mind we booked a dinner for our overseas guest for the a la carte. Unfortunately, it was very very small portions and the recommended WAGYU BEEF BRISKET main was tiny and smothered in sauce. At the prices charged, we expected better. The good tables around the window were reserved for date couples so we were placed in the middle of the restaurant. If you know the building, the interior is now very tired and because of the shell any noise from a large group dominates (there was on the night we were there). While we may go back for a quick two course pre-theatre dinner, we certainly will think twice about entertaining an overseas guest there again. For $800 for 3 persons there are far better restaurants, less noisy, where the food is excellent, the prices are commensurate with the quality of food, close to the opera house and you get to look at the main attraction which is the Opera House and harbour.

“Should be amazing but isn't”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013 via mobile

We went to celebrate our last night and Sydney and weren't exactly blown away by the experience.

For some reason we were shown to a table right at the 'back' of the restaurant despite it being half full and none of the other tables near us being occupied. We protested but were coldly told it was the best table available. Any other night I would have walked...

It didn't stop there as when the tables around us gradually began to fill it became clear that they were only interesting in serving tables in order of the layout. This was problematic as the entire restaurant was on the $150 for 4 courses which meant that we were basically 'last' getting served. The couple that
walked in 30 mins after us got their mains before we did meaning the service was interminably slow. Our waiter was totally useless although some of the servers were friendly and knowledgeable and the Sommelier was excellent.

Our only theory was that we had booked last therefore were at the back of the list. Crackers.

The good news is that the food was crazy delicious with every course an absolute triumph with the 'Royale' and the 'Beef' being particularly good.

We weren't unhappy in the end as we found the farce that was the management of this
restaurant highly
entertaining but they really need to do better.

“The Best view, best service, best food .... just the best of Sydney!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

From the reservation, confirmation, reception at the front door to the best seat in the restaurant and the freshly made gluten free bread just for me - it was perfect. The entree superb, the main of duck was delicious and although we skipped dessert and just had tea/coffee, they decorated a plate of petite fours just for my birthday - it's lovely to be acknowledged. Of all the places I have been to of late, this was the best in every way.

“Wow, what a beautiful restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

This is a wow factor place. You walk into the most beautiful room with a view to die for. We were seated right on the window with a million dollar view of the harbour.

Service is impeccable. Food delicious. We had our young kids with us which was a bit out of place in such posh surrounds but the staff were so welcoming and accommodating.

We had a 5.30pm seating which was perfect with the kids and the restaurant was not too busy, also a good thing! They were quick with the food.

Paris mash is delicious.

Great experience.
