The worst and dirtiest hostel in the world, and believe me I should know as I have stayed in over 500 hostels worldwide!!! It's ok if you have never stayed in a hostel and have low expectations, or if you just need a cheap place to stay where hygiene is not your main priority. For example, the kitchen had a dirty beach towel for drying plates, the bathrooms were so grimey that there was a build up of body fat around the showers. Everwhere in the dorm there was filth, garbage, dirty clothing, electrical cords & left over food items in the room.
It's unfortunate that I am having to write this review, having written to the hostel on several occassions for them to rectify the issues, but they chose not to repond!
The scene could only be described as an unhealthy & not acceptable level of cleanliness. Moreover why should anyone who is paying for a bed for the night have to sleep in this sort of pigsty created by others. It gives a world class city a bad name.
Clearly there are also issues concerning the amount of storage space available for the paying clients but there is no excuse for this level of mess going unaddressed by management.
