“Sashimi hater enjoyed it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

My second visit to this restaurant in as many years did not disappoint. They got my dad who is against raw fish trying it and loving it. It was great food & 10/10 for entertainment value. Highly recommend!

“Flying Circus”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

I went with my partner and I had never had Teppanyaki before. We had the banquet C
:: MATSU - Banquet C $37.00 per person, Fresh Salad,Miso Soup, 1 King Prawn, Fish,Teriyaki Steak, Fried Rice, Fried Vegetables, Fresh Fruit. You get to eat with chop sticks and you get a selection of 2 dipping sauces. The fresh salad was a few lonely leaves, a quarter tomato and a tiny piece of cucumber. The Miso soup looked and tasted unappealing, very bland and undefineable flavour. The fish was bland, the king prawn chewy and the steak was nicely cooked, however the Teryaki flavour and the flavour of everything cooked in wasabi butter or something green was uniform. The fried rice was hard, tasteless and chewy, the vegetables consisted of shredded bitter cabbage and the fruit was diced rockmelon. It's a good experience for Kids due to the excitement of catching things the chef throws around, if you don't mind the odd broken egg on your shirt.

“A really enjoyable meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2011

We went to this restaurant based on a reasonable menu in the window. We got that and more. The menu inside had more options but the big thing about this restaurant is the meal is cooked right in front of you with real style by a chef dedicated to your meal.
For two of us it was brilliant but for larger groups it seemed to work even better.

Oh the food was very good too.

“A Japanese Experience like no other !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2011

A breath-taking experience if you fancy a Japanese chef cooking right beside your dining table and partaking in the delights of traditional Japanese cuisine served hot, tasty and aromatic. The food is fresh, cooked and marinated on a barbeque plate. The menu has a variety of food selections such as beef, chicken, vegetable and seafood. We chose the banquet B selection which has all the varieties such as Miso soup, mixed vegetables, King Prawn, sirloin steak, chicken thigh fillet, fried rice and dessert. The main part of the serving of food is the chef's traditional practice of catch your food where the chef will virtually throw bowls for you to catch and then food in a bowl which you catch and hopefully do not miss catching it. There is also the flash fire which occurs when the sirloin steak is lit up when alcohol is laced with the meats which increases the tastiness. If you have never experienced this orthodox method of serving food, then this is an amazing first time experience for all. Excellent
