“Dinner at Kepos Street Kitchen 29 June 2013”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

Book your table at Kepos Street Kitchen NOW before it gets so famous you have to book months in advance! This delightful restaurant is open :
Breakfast and Lunch
Tuesday – Friday 7.30 am – 3 pm
Saturday and Sunday 8 am – 3 pm
Dinner
Wednesday – Saturday 6 pm – Last bookings 9.30 pm

The restaurant has only been opened about 5 months and has already been awarded a Hat and has had innumerous positively amazing reviews on the imaginative, fresh and unique menus created by Michael and Kristy. Middle Eastern dishes which are great to share with friends with wonderful flavours and presentations which leaves you with one problem! What to choose!! All fabulous - try them all!
We had entrees of dates, goats cheese with crumbed pistachio, tel aviv falafel and green tahini, homemade hummus. Mains, tabouleh salad, Lamb kibbeh near with walnuts, crushed wheat, pomegranate molasses. roasted black angus aged sirloin and middle eastern chimichurri, watercress. fish kefta, babaghanoush, mint. Desserts are amazing... churros and salted caramel, potted chocolate mousse, halva brownie, polenta and pistachio cake. Teas (I love interesting teas!) organic from the Rabbit Hole all served in funky BIG cups....lovely flavours!
The staff are all brilliant, friendly, happy to explain dishes, and well trained to make the whole experience a memorable one to return again and again! Michael the Chef and creator of all this tasty magic always comes out to meet his guests looking and sounding cool, calm and ready to produce any gastronomic rabbit out of his hat..if you ask!
We are already planning a return for breakfast, lunch and dinner very soon - Book now!!

“Best Cafe Food 2013”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

And well deserved. Michael the owner has an amazing pedigree and has opened this small cafe at the end of Kepos Street. The food is seriously delicious and staff are attentive and friendly. Go to dish (so many ) is probably Dads breakfast. Michael is from Israel and this has a heavy influence on the food which makes a change from the normal style you get at any cafe. Just interesting and tasty. Try his Israel date honey - OMG !!!! My favourite meal is breakfast but lunch and dinner are equally exciting. Only challenge is it is very popular so not always easy to get in but worth the wait. You can book for dinner.

“Delicious Middle Eastern Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

we had a delcious meal at Kepos kitchen. The service was great. The food was generous portions, a menu with a difference and the food was tasty. It di not tast mass produced. There were some unusual choices and I had a steak which was tender and tasty.

“Delicious!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013 via mobile

Everything on the menu sounded very simple but was all incredibly tasty and surprisingly complex flavors. Salad were amazing and the French Fries were still crunchy even after cold (we took them with us after my daughter demanded to save the rest for later). Great coffee too and excellent quality for much the same prices as most local trendy cafes. Only thing I didn't like was the free baked treats they gave us as we left... Tasted a bit like hand cream (not a fan of rose water) but can't complain since the freebie was a nice touch even if not to my taste.

“Chicken liver pâté bar none”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

A small corner restaurant that is quite obviously pleasing the diners. The chicken liver pâté, served with crisp "bread" and a chutney is delicious. Michael, came out to chat , which was charming and spoke to every table in the room. Book a table, as it always seems to be full. We can't wait to try breakfast there when we next visit Sydney.
