Just not my scene - LOUD music and the Maitre D was not happy to open the windows to let the pressure down.

“Over-priced garbage”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Well,

Veal mains were over $35 per plate. They came with bland, tasteless broccoli stalks (no florets), snow peas, matchstick thin dutch carrot julienne (they still had a fragment of stalk attached) and a perfunctry piece of capsicum.

No potatoes or filler to mop up ant left over sauce - if the sauce had been worth moppig up. I had the vitello saltimbocca ($37.90). Truly mediocre. Bland. 3 small pieces of veal with poor quality prosciutto attached. Barely any taste. The sauce? Even worse. Water, juices from the veal, barely a hint of white wine and sage. So, the veal was swimming in this water.

Most suburban small italian restaurants would sell saltimbocca for $25 or less. And they would be 10 times better than this.

Service was also ordinary. Specials were not mentioned when we were ready to order.

“Excellent service from Manager”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

Tried to make a booking at about 3pm for the same day when we arrived in the city and were told we could get a table inside, when we mentioned it was for our anniversary the manager told us he would sort out a balcony table for us on arrival and to just ask for him when we got there. He gave us excellent service the whole night, checking up that everything was perfect for us. Rest of staff, service was average.

“The food is Ok, the price is not!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012 via mobile

After catching the Sydney Ferry to Parramatta to kill some time, we we're looking for an authentic Italian restaurant for lunch. There seemed to be quite a few on Church St and being a Sunday the street was dead. Criniti's looked great and had a few patrons. After quite a wait the food arrived, one cold (a marinara pasta) while the chilli muscles were steaming hot. The prices were sky high for very average food, we walked out with a bulk over $100 for 2 mains and 2 soft drinks, this included a dubious 10% Sunday surcharge. Overall, we felt ripped off!
