“Worlds best value for money sushi!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

We fed 5 for $130. And went to town. Dishes are fresh. You may have to queue at the front for 20 minutes to get a table - but it's worth the wait. No reservations taken. The BBQ Mayo smoked salmon is to die for.

“Absolute Must Do Sushi Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2012

Over the past 10 days visited this place twice. First time at Sushi train/restaurant and would go again - food great, atmosphere great, staff great, customers happy. This is one very busy little place - get in by 7.00pm or be prepared to add your own name to the customer waiting list (located just inside the door). Food prepared fresh before you eyes, equally as good as it looked if not better. You could sit away from train if you wanted to but would highly recommend you experience sitting at the train, eat with your eyes, experience sushi at this place. Prices of food from train generally $3.00, some at $6.50+ - makes for a very affordable healthy eat out experience. Radison Hotel located on Liverpool Street, near Sussex Street is a great place to stay and only 20-25 metres away (see reviews on this 'tripadvisor' website).

“Great sushi and surprisingly inexpensive - highly recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2012

As almost always, a crowded restaurant means great food and value, especially when there's heaps of choice around. Sushi Rio is not the exception. While it complies with the sushi train format (which I'm not a fan of) and all sushi and nigiri is fix-priced at $3 per plate, the real deal is to get your sushi made to order _and there's so many options_. Both raw and grilled sushi are fresh and tasty and the best sitting is at the bar, where you can watch the chefs prepare your snacks. A gold mine if your digging for sushi in the CBD, just get your number, wait to be seated and enjoy.

“Sensational!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2012

Fresh food, inexpensive and lots of fun!
Five of us ate as much as we all needed for $150 - and we didn't hold back either.
You can't book but have to wait for a table. Take a number at the door and just hang around until your number is called. It's worth the wait. Very busy.

“Beautiful sushi selections!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2012

Food are fresh and tasty! Also good value for money for $3 per plate and you can have all different kinds of seafood sushi raw and cooked. Not to mention scampi, scallop, salmon etc etc. It is definitely my fav sushi restaurant.
