My friends and I were initially excited to try Mulligans out after the fantastic reviews that we read on trip advisor. My partner is Irish and we decided to celebrate St Patricks with an authentic Irish dinner.
We were mildly disappointed in our overall experience.
The entrees were excellent, and built an expectation. However it went downhill from then. 2 had lamb shanks , I had steak, another had the Guinness pie. The lamb shanks was supposed to be great, but it was ordinary. My steak was a safe choice so I cannot complain. And again, one cannot go wrong with a Guinness pie. The desserts were disappointing too- with overpowering toffee on the banofee, and the apple pie was also ordinary.
The night ended with coffees which were unpalatable.
The food in Mulligans were ordinary, the service was ordinary- no one smiled or said thank you at the end. For the total price that we spent there for 4 people - we would have gotten a better service, better food, better value in some other restaurants.
Would I recommend ?
If you want to try by all means
But personally, a once off visit is more than enough for me and I probably wouldn't bring my friends from Ireland here. Probably over rated on tripadvisor
