Well, it's a sellers' market when you have the reputation, and so with Bodega, you'll get no bookings and the dreaded queue! Arrive early! If you are lucky enough to get in, you'll find young trendy staff (knowledgeable and helpful), an action-packed kitchen and bar, very tasty and inventive tapas or sharing-style plates, and a wide-ranging Latin America dominated winelist. Wines by the glass are fairly limited - usually only one representative of each style or grape variety.
The kitchen team, in full view behind the bar, pump out tasty and inventive combinations at great pace, but with a lot of care - red peppers stuffed with bacalau, scallops with morcilla, roast pork with crackling.
Yes, it is very crowded and noisy... but that's it's atmosphere and excitement. Not cheap, but fair value for money considering the interesting dining experience.
