“Much better now”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2012

They have a new chef and new menu, so you can ignore the previous panning. I also found the waiter very helpful and friendly.

“Absolutely terrible, a shell of its former self”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2012

This place use to be great, but under the new owners, it is terrible. Having to wait 45 minutes just to order and then for the restaurant to have run out of a large number of the items, including specials they had in place to replace other items that they had run out of, is not acceptable. The creme brulee which use to be a dish to look forward to has been ruined. 5 out of 5 served to our table were burnt on the top. Mine was not set and inedible, plus they have added an almond / marzipan type essence which was horrible. Spending 3 hours in a restaurant for a 3 course meal is not my idea of a good time. Sadly, I will not be back.

“The Australian home of Tiramisu!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2011

I go here every year for a Kilikanoon wine lunch, and over 7 years the food and service has been consistently excellent- a rarity among Sydney's Italian eateries, many of which come and go with alarming regularity. And yes, they make a great Tiramisu, apparently right on the heels of its original Italian invention in the early 70s!

“Lov it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2011

I love this place. It's like going home to Momma. The setting is quaint, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. It's not haute cuisine. It's not meant to be. It's like family. The menu is the Longstanding and offers Italian cud Ina cooking. Great pastas. And wonderfully fresh second plati. Fresh fish, mart. The wine list is full of italian labels, and some local wines too. If you like institutions and enjoy going hack in time a little, thus is for you. It's not cutting edge - you can go to those places anytime, it's simply a great reliable Italian. Enjoy it.

“Food is Ok and ambience...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2008

Food is Ok and ambience was relaxing, however, service was disappointing that the staff are not very friendly, and i think price is expensive.
