“Sydney to Hobart Race Day”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

it's an iconic day in the Australian calendar and honestly the vibe that is around the CYC is something you can only experience if you are there. obviously you can't get IN to the club unless you are part of a crew (or family) but who cares! sit on the stone wall around the front of Rushcutters Bay and soak it all up.

“Drinks by the water beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

Went here on my last day in Sydney had already checked it out prior and thought you had to be a member but wasn't. Signed in staff lovely ordered my taltarni glass very cheap sat and watched how the other half of sydney lives right on rushcutters bay. Finished and walked right through parkland it certainly is a truly magnifcent place to be. Food was a very good price and service seemed very quick take a buzzer with you routine.

“How the other half live !!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012

Scene for the preparation of one of the world's greatest ocean races the Sydney to Hobart which sets off on Boxing Day each year. You get some sense of what it is like to be involved in yachting just looking around the CYC. Great for an afternoon drink or a meal.

“Excellent place to grab a beer and some food on the water”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 29, 2012

If you want to go someplace laid back the CYCA is a great spot to show up and do just that. In the Rushcutters bay area, this yacht club allows non members for free (just sign in at the desk). Drinks and food are ordered and paid for at their respective windows and a pager is given to you for food pickup. Other than that you grab a table kick back and look out over the bay and the boats. The food was very good and reasonably priced and jugs of beer were cold and priced accordingly. I would recommend visiting here for a laid back evening or afternoon for residents or visitors to Sydney.

“Soak up the atmosphere!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2011

Great to spend lunch at the restaurant at the CYC and soak up the atmosphere. This club is mostly attended by recreational sailors who relax after a day of sailing and regale their companions with tales of success and disaster. It's on the water and surrounded by boats. The views aren't bad either.
