“Just delightful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2013

Take a breath from the busy schedule and take a trip here and enjoy the scenery. The restaurants and bars are great and also take part in the 'happy hour' so no worries.

“Our favorite area of Sydney”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013 via mobile

There is so much to do here, we could have spent a week exploring this part of Sydney. Our daughter and I have declared the playground the "very best in the world", and we talk about it all the time. Great restaurants, beautiful views, interesting people-watching...

“nice place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Bars, restaurants, coffee shops, fast food chains along the bay. Nice place for boat watching. This place has something for everyone. Imax theatre and Harbourside shopping mall. Convention centre and Exhibition centre is nearby. Tumbalong park and Chinese garden within walking distance. Kids would love the public playground with its water play facility. Day or night is enjoyable at Cockle Bay Wharf. Visitor Centre is avail for Tourists.

“A great night out”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

We lived in Sydney (Mosman) for a year and would often take the ferry over to Cockle Bay Wharf. Great restaurants, bars, nightlife. A fantastic venue

“Great location - very kid friendly! Grab a bite to eat & Watch the world go by...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

This is a favourite place for Sydney locals and tourists to dine, walk around or just have a coffee.

Most restaurants are very kid friendly and have kids menus. At night the atmosphere has a great holiday vibe....even for locals who are just grabbing a bite to eat after work. The location is very safe at night and is suitable to take children.

The dining choices range from McDonalds, Bars & Coffee shops at the far end towards Chinatown to fine dining restaurants closer to waterfront. There is a dining choice to satisfy everyone's taste & budget.

There is a carnival atmosphere for kids with a very old carousel & playground. There are often special events happening from Fireworks to Dragon Boat Racing etc. Cockle Bay is connected to Darling Harbour via the harbourside walkway (2 minute walk) & you can also walk to Chinatown (5 - 10 minute walk). When we visit, which is often - we usually park in Darling Harbour, walk to Chinatown for the Friday night markets then walk back to Cockle Bay Wharf for dinner.....a great inexpensive night out!
