Booked a 3Br sub-penthouse suite for a week-long business trip and it was probably the best decision for 3 women on the job. It was a lot cheaper than booking three rooms and we were able to huddle before we start the day and recap at night. We also cooked and ate in a lot, which was a lot healthier than eating out all the time. Meriton on Pitt was right smack at the center of downtown Sydney so it was very convenient. Definitely enjoyed the Nespresso machine in the unit! What I didnt like was the absence of a bell hop, which I know is normal for a non-5star hotels in Australia.

We recently stayed at the Meriton on Pitt ST. We booked a 3 bedroom and a 1 bedroom apartment for 8 people. We requested for the apartments on the same floor and they certainly made the effort to accomodated us by converting the 2 bedroom to a 1 bedroom. We appreciate Katrina's (front desk) effort to locate a parking for our 12 seater commuter which is a difficult task as almost all parking bays do not cater to height more than 2.1 metres. We had a lovely stay in a fantastic location in a beautiful city.

We stayed here from 03/03-03/06 after our cruise ended, the day after Mardi Gras which was incredible. Our original unit was somewhere on the 3Xth floor, but we had issues with the hot water staying hot. Management came up to our room to adjust at the floor level, but it still was problematic. They switched our room, which was 4902.

I never rented an apartment before on a vacation, so this was a new experience for us. The appeal for us was having more room to stretch out than a traditional hotel. This was indeed the case. The unit was huge 3 bedroom/2bath, with partial views of the Sydney and Darling Harbour, and two outdoor balconies. Kitchens had a gas range, full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and oven. The dining room had a table for six. Washer/dryer with some detergent was a bonus. We didn't do any cooking but there is a Woolworth (grocery store) just around the block. The location is very convenient for one using public transportation. Town Hall station is again around the block which will take you to major parts of the city. Right down the street were two malls (Westfield, Victoria). One thing to note is that there are numerous nearby restaurants, but no in-house restaurant as this is an apartment complex not a hotel. Meriton seems to be a big player in Sydney as there are several high-rises with their names on them.

The one negative I could come up with, but I don't know if this how systems for apartments in Australia work but they seem to use on-demand hot water systems for each unit. We had consistent hot water in 4902, but you could not have two people taking a shower in both bathrooms or have a shower/washer running at the same time. The shower water would just get too cold.

Management seems to read these reviews, so next time maintenance is doing their round, 4902 needs a new thermostat. It works but the temperature down button is broken off. I would stay again, but would probably try the World Tower next time for a different experience.

Stayed in a three bedroom, two bathroom apartment on the 43rd floor and it was great. Clean, modern and well priced. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Couple of things missing from the kitchen that we could have used but not a big problem. If you have a few people and need a bit of room then this is the way to go. As nice as the York albeit without the harbour views but much more cost effective.
