My friend and I rented a 2 bedroom apartment on the 70th floor of Meriton World Tower. Upon arrival at the hotel at around 11am, we were checked-in immediately without having to wait until the official check-in time of 2pm. This was great because we could unpack our stuff and catch a short nap before going for lunch.

The apartment was very spacious and well-lit. For most parts, it was very clean and well-maintained with the exception of some stains on the sofa and the couch on the balcony area.

My friend and I both agree that the beds were by far one of the most comfortable ones we have slept on!

The meriton is just fantastic.
We stayed in a two bedroom apartment in April 2007. We arrived very early about 6am, on a flight from Singapore. The security guard was pleasent and got us towels and soap etc so that we could have a shower. Looked after the bags etc. We found the check in staff alright, not over friendly but got the job done.
Apartment was on 68th floor WHAT a view, it makes you break out in a cold sweat until you get used to it.!!
The apartment was spotless, cleaned every day and all the washing powders, tea etc replaced.
The area is within easy walking distance of Darling harbour, and although the street outside is a little run down we never felt there was a problem. Easy supermarket under the block for all food needs, plus loads of take aways and alot of Chinese food really near.
We had no problem with waiting for the lifts, and would say that this appartment was one of the highlights of our trip to Australia. I cannot praise it enough!!

( the photos added are from 2005 stay. I have stayed there in similar room and they haven't changed)

I have stayed in the World Tower 4 times over a 2 year period, the last being in October 2006. Each time i have stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment. Every time the rooms have been immaculate, the decor is modern, contemporary and stylish. There are views from the higher floors (the hotel has 70+ floors). the views look out over the whole city. They are very nice.

They are apartments so the feel of the hotel is not the same, there are no restaurants, no room service but there are restaurants nearby that deliver to your room. The apartments contain a full size kitchen, laundry and most have 2 bathrooms.

There is parking onsite which normally costs about $30 per day. The staff are always courteous and helpful.

The location of the hotel is great, close to 2 stations and bus lines all up and down George Street. The hotel is situated in the World Square complex which is an area including shops, restaurants and grocery stores.

I thouroughly enjoy staying at the World Tower. It is a place where you go if you like to be self sufficent. Its look makes you feel like you are staying in a high rise penthouse.

A tip is to book online through websites as you can often get rooms for half price.

Just returned from a short stay in a 3 bedroom at the Meriton World Tower. Found the view, location and room absolutely fantastic. Had no problems with waiting for the elevator. Lots of eateries just steps from the hotel. A great room, especially for the price.

We're just back from travelling in Australia. In Sydney we stayed in the World Towers Apartments on 69th floor. Awesome views from floor to ceiling windows and high speed lift. Cost 300 dollars for two nights for a 3-bed apartment. Apartment beautiful and staff very helpful giving directions, information etc. Walking distance to Darling Harbour where we had dinner at the Meat and Wine Company which was excellent. We did trips to Manly on the ferry and went to Bondi on the bus. Excellent services which run on time and are inexpensive. Found a great shoe shop at Bondi in the main street. Loved the Sydney experience and will go back to climb the bridge next time. Didn't realise we had to book in advance.
