My friend and I have booked a one-bedroom apartment for 6 nights and tonight is our third night. Right after we checked in and went to our room, we first locked our stuff into the safe then realized immediately it cannot be opened with the same password we previously set, so we called the reception and asked for help. After waiting for more than an hour, someone finally came with the master keys, but the safe still cannot be opened. Since we were on the way out with our friends, the guy promised to come back to fix it while we were out. When we came back about 10pm, we then found the safe was still locked and can't be open, so we called the reception again. The guy who answered the phone is a security guard, he told me the reception closed at 8pm. Then I told him I had to get back my passport which was locked in for the tour booked for the day after, he promised to call the management office and he then called me back and told me the "master" password, then the safe was finally open but I still couldn't change the password to my desired one.
The second problem I told the security guard is 2 of the lamps in the room are not working, but since no one was working in the evening, he promised to tell the reception tomorrow.
It was before 8pm we got back to our apartment from our tour on the following day, I immediately called the reception and requested for change of light bulbs as soon as I realized the lamps were still not working. But what he said is that the people who can change the light bulbs were already off from work (isn't this ridiculous???) but he promised to send someone to change them the morning after.
We once again came back to our apartment late at night tonight, our third night stay, and found that those lamps are still not working. In addition, rubbish bins in both the kitchen and bathroom were not empty. The empty shampoo and conditioner bottles I deliberately put in the sinks (to remind the cleaning person to refill) were untouched.! The table was not cleaned. The most horrible part is the mugs that he/she cleaned are still very dirty.
I don't think we deserve a poor service quality like this considering we pay about US$230 per night. This is my first time staying at Meriton property, and they surely give me a very bad impression and I don't think I will stay at any of their properties anymore in the future.
