We have eaten here before because of its convenient location between the city and the lower North Shore. Last time I enjoyed the food especially the German specialities, even if it was a bit expensive. This time almost everything was disappointing. The service was appalling - anytime we wanted anything, order wines or order mains or desert menu - I had to go off on an expedition to find the solo ageing waitress who clearly was not coping. The ambience is good, and the chef specialises in German dishes. However- this time , nearly everything we wanted seemed to be off the menu, and the other dished were OK, but not good value as this place is fairly expensive.
