“La Croix and its 'piece de resistance' ...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013

How lucky we are in Sydney to have La Croix in Potts Point. Its a concept store, so besides the wonderful food on offer, there are also some amazing French homewares for sale. The homewares are well sourced and at least as good as any I have seen in either Paris or Provence. Then there is the food. Beautiful. Fresh salads and tartines - the avocado and prawn tartine is my favourite, coupled with the recommended glass of white wine. In fact much trouble has gone into matching the wines with various dishes. The 'piece de resistance' however is the 'tarte tatin' - impossible to resist. It is simply superb. And as if all of that is not enough, there is the staff. In all my wining and dining, I have never encountered such warm, friendly, while at the same time totally professional staff, as those who work at La Croix. The place is simply a 'win win' for us Sydneysiders and those tourists who are looking for a real treat. Breakfast or lunch amidst absolute beauty.

“Excellent fresh breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Walking through Potts Point we stumbled across this 'Villa-Blanca'-esque restaurant/ home decor store.

The service was friendly and efficient. The food (Bircher Muesli and the fresh fruit salad with yoghurt) was fresh, high quality and thoughtfully prepared and presented. If we had to find fault it would be with the coffee - not good or bad, just something you'd expect from any run-of-the-mill cafe.

Sunday morning at 9.30am will see you get a table easily, but over the course of our meal it quickly filled up.

“Birthday lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

I was lucky enough to be taken to La Croix recently for a belated birthday lunch.

My friends had asked where I wanted to go - I had not been and had heard about La Croix from others ... so suggested that as our lunch venure.

No disappointments here.

The lunch was delicious - I had a wonderful Salad Nicoise and my companions enjoyed other salads from the menu - all looked wonderful.

The staff were attentive - courteous and helpful when discussing the menu choices.

One thing we all loved was the concept store. The french antiques are glorious as are the candles, mirrors and other decorative pieces.

Cant wait to go back and would recommend this to anyone.

“All class”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013 via mobile

Been to The Cross a few times. Nice short menu which is well priced. I had the La Croix breakfast which was good except the tomato was tasteless, but hey, it ain't Italy. Possibly the best ambiance of any cafe in Sydney. Terrific!

“Superb service, sensational interiors and great value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

What else could you ask for? Perfect light wines to sip on with lunch items that are poppingly fresh and stunning to look at on the plate. I love the salad given to diners pre the arrival of the orders. Gaze at the colourful market outside the door and browse the imaginative and unusal collection of items for sale inside. An excellent experience and one to bring Sydney visitors to for a light lunch.
