Stayed for 3 nights when I first got to Oz and was a decent base point, Good Location considering it is in Kings Cross and is far enough away from the main strip, but not far enough that you can't nip out for a McDonald or fast food.

Hostel had a very friendly enviroment, a very good sized kitchen with Free Breakfast each morning, involving your normal cereals and toast's etc.

TV room was small-ish and in the middle of a corridor so people constantly walking past, but lets be honest, you don't go to sydney to watch TV, small internet room with 2 pc's which again are free, but it's very much first come first served and you can have a wait if some people are being overly greedy.

Rooms are decent sized and all clean and tidy each with plenty of wardrobe space, unlike some I stayed in Oz.

I started my trip in Sydney as I worked my way up the east coast, and when coming back to Sydney much as I thought of staying elsewhere I went back.

Bit far out from Central Quay and Opera House, but there is a tube station 5min walk away.

I don't think I would repeat at Eva's. I think It may be a place that work for young backpackers that don't care much about:

- Waiting almost 2 hours to be picked up at the airport in the free shuttle.
- Very noisy street.
- Super tiny washbasin (never seen something that small!)
- Restrooms busy most of the times.

Staff were nice.

This place was cheap and about a 40 minute walk to the opera house. The walk takes you through the botanical gardens which kind of softens the blow of the distance. Overall the place was clean and staff was friendly, but there were no lockers to lock up your valuables and it was quite noisy didn't get a good nights rest there. Would probably book closer to the circular quay next time or check out the base backpackers on Kent street.

We stayed here over Christmas 05, we didn't actually spend a lot of time here because we were visiting friends in the area. The place is clean and tidy. The people friendly. We had Christmas cake left in our room on the day which was a nice touch.
The hostel is close to the night life and in a quiet street, i felt comfortable and safe there. Would definately stay there again.
