“If you’re going to do one thing in Sydney…”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2013

If you only have time for one thing to do while in Sydney, then a walk around the harbor area is the way to go. There is so much activity in the area that you really don’t need to do any planning: You have photos ops like the bridge and opera house, shopping in The Rocks, tons of pubs and restaurants and a variety of street performers.

A walk from Dawes Point Park (basically under the Sydney Harbour Bridge) to the Sydney Opera House will probably take you a few hours, because you’ll just end up stopping and taking in the culture. A great way to spend a day – and if the day isn’t over, you can keep on walking through the Botanic Gardens and up to Hyde Park. The walk by itself is free – you decide how much money you want to spend along the way.

“What's not to love!”

A vibrant, energetic center with ferries that take you to wonderful places. It was especially fun to see all the street entertainers, including fire eaters, aboriginal musicians and healers!

“Simply unforgettable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2013

Spent a great time in this area - worst part was remaining on the ground while Laura walked the bridge - all I could see was a few wee dots! Best parts where the excellent restaurants and whizzing about on the ferries.

No dislikes, very content each time we come and visit whether on our own, with grandchildren, overseas family or friends, or even on my own.

“Best spot in the world.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

Nothing beats standing at circular quay on a sunny day. Watching the hustle and bustle, people, boats. Amazing restaurants and views of 2 of the most iconic structures in the world.
